When I moved into my house my dad and I were inspecting the plumbing to remodel the kitchen. We found the main pipe and he pulled it completely off the wall at the joints. He's pretty rough on things but not even this was his fault. So now we have to jack the floor up to replace the main kitchen drain. In the meantime we rerouted the plumbing to the main floor drain. I know what you're thinking and yes it does get clogged because it's not suppose to handle that. But it didn't pose a seriously problem until recently and all the plumbers we called just complained at me how it wasn't to code and that they could not do anything about it. My first drain auger I tried was not this one and it was a complete bear to use. I am not a weakling but even I was wrung out after main handling it and trying to not have my fingers ripped off by the rotating cable and drum. But it did work. It later rusted out completely and seized up because of the extremely low quality cable and designed so that leads me to the Mophorn unit. This is a complete knockoff of the Rigid K50 which is excellent because that is a great unit. I'm sure it is far far superior in build quality but the Mophorn unit was the average chinese fit and finish and function. Fast and lazy with low attention to detail but with a price tag to match!!! The function is far superior the drum unit. The cable was much better and easier to clean. It took 1/4 the time and 1/4 the effort clear my floor drain. Making the sharp bends was far easier with this unit. I'm sure if you're a pro plumber you can complain on this unit all you want for not lasting but as a home gamer trying to save some money you really can't go wrong. I also don't see this unit not lasting even under pro conditions. You do need to get the Rigid Drain Cleaning Mitt to be safe with the unit but they are not expensive. You could easily charge your friends $50 to clear drains and pay for the unit quickly if you wanted to.

The top is made of plastic, a durable plastic but plastic none the less. The cable is flimsy, looks like it would snap as soon as it gets caught in the clog. I used the cable from my other machine that this one was SUPPOSED to replace and it wouldn't clear the clog, kept bogging down. Immediately returned

This is a strong 4-star drain cleaner overall, with one star knocked off for a cable length discrepancy. Using this machine as a homeowner, it has been easy to set up, straightforward to operate, and more than powerful enough for typical household clogs. The motor and clutch work smoothly, and the unit feels sturdy in use, with a heavy-duty plastic top that seems like it should hold up well over time. It is basically a knockoff of the RIDGID K-50, which makes it familiar to use and more than adequate for occasional home use, though it is not something to rely on for daily professional work. The only real negative is the advertised “120 ft” of snake: the machine actually comes with several 8–13 ft sections that add up to about 104 ft, not the full 120 ft. That feels a bit misleading, and is the sole reason for the one-star downgrade, even though the included length was still sufficient for the jobs it was purchased for. On the positive side, it is compatible with official RIDGID-style attachments, which is a great bonus if you already own cutters or sections from that ecosystem. Overall, it delivers 5-star performance and value for a homeowner, with the star deduction purely for the cable length discrepancy.

I bought this thinking it would be a little larger than what it is. The instructions are written by someone who doesn’t know English well. It was supposed to be auto out/in and it’s not. I can’t figure out the switch or clutch either….it like one setting is for just spinning the cable the other is for ??? Not really sure. Also, I think the 110v plug cord is only about 4’ long. So if you don’t have an outlet near the drain you’ll have to have an extension plug to reach anything. It’s also short - bringing some issues to anyone whose pipe is off the ground and not flush with the floor. For the money I was hoping for better instructions, easier to understand cable spool ( can’t tell how your supposed to feed the machine without taking the entire cable out ). I can’t tell say the cable seems very sturdy, and the machine itself is cast iron with a nice feel and is very portable.
