I have this weird old bathtub that has some sort of internal opening and closing valve in the drain pipe that you just can't reach. I wriggled one of these things down past the flap and pulled out a hairball the size of a mouse! The "snake" is probably reusable but I don't want to touch that gross mass! ... show more

My bathroom sink was clogged and I couldn't get the stopper out, one of those that somehow won't come out. So I bought these to give them a try. Yes it worked. However, it was kind of difficult getting it past where the stopper is attached down in the drain, but then I got past that and tried to twirl it around which was also difficult and then I thought maybe it wasn't working, so then it was stuck and I had to really pull hard to get it out, but when it finally came out, yet, it had a bunch of hair in it so that was good. After getting the whole thing out, I noticed some hair seemed to still be in the drain and could reach it with my fingers so I slowly and methodically pulled at it little by little fearing it would rip and I would lost the whole thing but finally got it all out. So YES my drain is clear, I didn't have to get a plumber or ask anyone to help me, but it was not exactly real easy. Still gave it 4 stars and would do it again. ... show more

I felt like these were a little bit too tough. When trying to put them down the drains, they were not wanting to move too much. I was able to get some stuff out of the first bit of my drain, I just really wish it was flexible enough to reach the hard to get spots!

If your sink is draining slowly, these will do the trick! However, be ready with paper towels and a garbage can. The hair and gunk it pulled out was totally disgusting! Gag inducing! It took maybe one minute of my time, and my sink now drains quickly. This is a speedy and inexpensive way to solve the problem! ... show more

I usually use Drain Weasel but I'm low on funds. I have learned my lesson to not cheap out. Stuck this down my tub drain, it didn't come back out. Didn't budge at all. I took some of the drain apart and used some other tools, in all it took 15 minutes to get it out. When it did come out, nothing was attached to it.
