2nd review: it’s been two months and i’m already looking to replace it. I’ve had to put more screws on this for parts that were falling apart. The long tray has gaps so whatever you pu there like hay or litter pellets will slide out though the cracks which together with the bunnies urine will make the wood rot. The smell is gone now but it is still a very cheap cage that will be useless within months. 1st review: The worst thing about this product is when you open the box there is an awful small synthetic plastic burt/pain or aerosol. It’s been over a week and the smell does not go away. This hutch is spacious and it looks like the pictures, that is about it on the positive aspects. It is hard to access all areas for cleaning when the only access is two small doors in the lower floor. Also putting it together it felt cheap quality versus same model of other brands and it needs more doors to access. I will have to modify this myself with extra hinges and locks... but the smell? i don’t know what to do about that!! ... show more

This is an average rabbit cage. The wood is very thin & cheap. It was poorly painted so I had to repaint most of it. I had a couple of pieces that had multiple predrilled screw holes. I wish i had predrilled the first 2 holes for the latches because the wood split. It definitely cannot go outside in the weather for long periods or it would definitely fall apart! Just to let you know, this product has very flimsy hinges and latches. At first, I thought the construction would allow the rabbit to chew through it. But so far it hasn’t. All the hinges and screws have already failed. Except for this small doors that swing out front. So at least it can escape, but I do keep weights on the top to make sure it can’t push against the roof and get out. Other than that it is a good product and I’m sure with a little extra care and attention. It can be repaired. ... show more

I love everything about it, the wood is sturdy and it’s light and I like how there’s wheels so you can move it wherever easily and fast delivery I got it within 2 days. The only thing I didn’t like about it was the smell; it definitely is strong and resembles nail polish remover but if you let it air out it’ll go away. Probably from the wood and the packaging. It also did not have screw holes and a little chipping on the bottom. Other than that it’s perfect! **EDIT:** My rabbit is chewing away at the wood, even with wood chew toys in there. So be cautious if you’re using this for a rabbit rather than a guinea pig, etc. But he does love going up and down the ramp so it’s still pretty awesome! ... show more

The only reason I even gave this a 2 is because it actually is a cage. What I don't like about it is it feels very flimsy in the wood feels very cheap. The wood is very soft and chewy as the rabbit has demonstrated on many occasions. I would like to let everyone who's considering this for a rabbit know that your ...rabbit... will ...eat the cage. I'm going to have to find something to treat the wood with that will stop the cage from being so appetizing to the rabbit. I'm not talking about chew and spit. I'm talking about full on lunch time. The cage does have wheels but you will never have to worry about locking them because they don't move very easily. On one of the steps that you go through when putting the cage together, when you're putting number two wall on, it will tell you that you will need four screws. Even though five are in the picture. But don't worry, even though the paper is wrong, the screw count is correct. I do not see this cage last and very long and I can go ahead and tell you right now that this is not an outdoor cage. There is no way this thing lasts a hard rain. The wood will either swell and crack or simply come apart. I'm not sure if the rabbit's chowing down on the actual cage can kill it, but if you ever run out of food just leave them in there. So for right now, I have pulled the rabbit out of the cage until I can treat the wood with something that will give the cage a fighting chance against the rabbit. And also because I paid too much money to just give up on it. So I don't know what to do yet. I'll figure something out. Like I said before, it is, indeed, a cage. I bought this hutch as an update for our Netherland dwaft's habitat. I was pleasantly surprised with the ease of assembly and though they recommend a two person process, I was able to do it alone with one screwdriver. Total assembly time, maybe 35 mins? The wood type is Fir and has a wonderful aroma that does dissipate after a few days. (If you feel this may trigger your pet, take the pieces of of the box and let them air out for a couple of days prior to assembly.) The hutch as sturdy as it is visually appeasing. ... show more

This cage is completely horrible when it came the wood was very low quality in a broke so easily, but I thought it would be fine and I would just work it out because I already paid over $100 my rabbits urine started leaking from the cage a week later the cage started falling apart.
