I didn't want to drill into the siding, door frame, or hard wire the outdoor Nest camera .. yet. This works for now. I was able to "secure" the Nest snugly inside the sleeve so the magnets would stay in contact - in order for the camera to remain active. The Nest fits the inner sleeve very well. Find a good placement, and install. I used command strips - instead of the backing in the silicone sleeve. Good solution for now, until I decide whether I want to hard wire to the doorbell, or do some drilling for the outdoor Nest camera.

It was very easy to install my Google doorbell fit in perfectly very good price it's made out of a pretty sturdy plastic I accidentally bumped my head on it hard enough to cause bleeding and it didn't fall off I think that this is the perfect amount if you do not want to screw something in or if you can't

Just set this up worked for 10 mins days its unmounted annoyed now i have to get magnets for it to work as i cannot unstick it from house just a mess

I updated this review because it was my fault for not knowing how to properly set up the google set doorbell. Once I figured what was causing the not mounted error it works perfect. Just be reminded that the silver plate has to be attached to the back of the doorbell before inserting into the device holder!

As others have reported too, after installing this the doorbell would not turn on and report that it was not mounted. The instructions that came with the device were very minimal and did not include any support or troubleshooting options. Only after going through the reviwes, I learned that I need to use a magnet to “trick” the doorbell to think it is mounted to its original mount. Since then, it has been working flawlessly, but it would be nice if the manufacturer would have included a magnet or at least mentioned the fact that it is needed.
