Excellent Wireless HDMI Solution

A big help for lawyers wanting to go digital in old fashioned courtrooms.

I am an attorney who occasionally visits courthouses and courtrooms that have not yet adopted the infrastructure needed to allow the digital presentation of evidence. But I hate schlepping boxes of voluminous documents around any more than necessary, and some evidence (e.g., audio and video) does not translate into pieces of paper. So it is always my goal to share as much evidence via iPads and laptops connected to monitor displays as possible. To accomplish, I took it upon myself to buy several portable monitors (1 for me, 1 for opposing counsel, 1 for the witness, 1 for the judge, and (if applicable) 1 for the jury) and portable power banks to power them. But the one gap this left was how to get the image on my laptop onto all of those monitors. The typical route 1 answer to this is to run HDMI cables, but in my use case that sucks because 1) most computer setups do not allow for HDMI cables to run to 4-5 monitors at once, and 2) even if they did, running so many cables across a courtroom would be ugly, awkward, time consuming, and a huge tripping hazard. That's why these wireless HDMI transmitters/receivers were perfect for me. I ended up purchasing a 1 transmitter/4 receiver pack and an additional 1 transmitter/2 receiver pack so that I can connect 6 receivers to 1 transmitter (which the devices let you do with just a minute or two of setting up) and with that I had plug-and-play ability to wirelessly send what was on my laptop (or a second screen connected to my laptop) across the courtroom to every monitor without all of the HDMI cables. Prior to buying these, I purchased an inferior version of the same technology from another company, which had way shorter range that caused it to cut out intermittently when transmitting from counsel's table to the judge's bench or witness stand roughly 30-40 feet away. With these devices, the range issue does not exist. I have yet to run into a situation in which I am too far away from a screen for the transmitters/receivers to work. Mild negatives to be aware of: 1. The transmitter is essentially one-wire powered. I have a Macbook Air with only USB-C ports, but with a simple USB-C to HDMI dongle, I can plug the transmitter into my laptop and both power the transmitter and send an image to it. However, the receivers are not as simple. Each receiver has a USB-C port on the side and must be independently plugged in to a USB-C power source in order to function. I have solved this with the portable power banks and cables (shout out to the Anker A1695 power bank, which has enough power to get through several hours of monitor and receiver use and 2 built in USB-C charger cables to make the set up easier - one goes to each monitor and one goes to each receiver) but it's important to know that you cannot just plug the receiver into a monitor or TV's HDMI port and think you are all set. The HDMI will not carry power. 2. Probably picayune, but because the transmitters/receivers are all full size HDMI, you will need dongles if you intend to use them with portable monitors like I do, as these are usually mini-HDMI. 3. On occasion, I have found that when I plug one of these receivers into a big screen TV, it can create an unpleasant buzzing sound at a mild to moderate volume. Sometimes wiggling the receiver helps, but it's not perfect and some unpleasant noises can occur. 4. The transmitter/receivers are limited to 1080 resolution, which has been fine for my use case, but be aware that you will not be sending 4K resolution with these. 5. They tend to get hot during prolonged use, which makes me worry a little about their long term durability. But I have used them semi-regularly for over a year now, and so far so good. None of the above cause me to reconsider a five star rating because they are either mild nuisances or are limitations intrinsic to the product (HDMI input just cannot send out power, so power has to come from somewhere). Neither changes the fact that these have been a wonderful solution for me, and I am very happy I bought them. ... show more

This system is perfection! I've been struggling with built-in systems and some cheaper solutions to send my PC's second screen wirelessly, but this unit is flawless. NO LAG! The single most important thing when combining video with audio being sent to a different source is that the sound and visual match! Great job! Even using BOTH receivers at the same time, it performs flawlessly. It has worked with a variety of screens and projectors and is super easy to set up and get rolling. While every setup is different, this deserves a 5 star rating and will certainly operate well for your application. First the bad; out of the box, following a great first day of testing, the transmitter failed. The good news, the supplier provided fast and excellent service in helping with trouble shooting suggestions followed by a replacement of the defective device. A little more about my specific setup. The purpose of this device is to transmit an HDMI signal that is a duplicate of what you are seeing on the screen. It is not an extension, rather a duplication of your video input source. They include a wide selection of HDMI adapters so that you can easily connect to a variety of sources. In my case, I have an Android box I use for all my streaming services. I wanted to be able to use the single source to feed TV screens throughout the house. I had tried others, but this one worked the best. Regarding how to power these, I found the TV set USB connection provides more than enough power to run the receivers. It works perfectly as it is only powered on when you have the TV turned on. No need for an external power block. For the transmitter, I found it does get hot - after prolonged operation I measured temperatures of 100F. For this reason, you are best served by making sure you have removed power from the transmitter when not in use. In short, this specific set-up costs more than some of the others, but it is worth the extra couple of dollars. The convenience of the full compliment of adapters and knowing you have excellent support standing behind the product make it more than worthwhile. Setup is simple as it is already preprogrammed. Great replacement for HDMI cables!

These work fabulously! I purchased the 1TX / 4 RX version of this kit back in October of 2025. I could not be more pleased! I use them frequently to send video from my HP laptop to various TVs in a variety of situations. They come pre-paired, so out of the box they just work! I have used them probably 20-25 times since buying them with absolutely zero issues. No dropouts, no distortion, and very low latency (almost imperceptible). I am on an HOA board, and I use these often to share my screen with TVs in the clubhouse. I also use them to send video to multiple screens for karaoke (where latency matters) and they have been awesome! No more coiling HDMI cables! I have not put the range to any extremes thus far, as my longest distance has been about 50-60 feet, but that has been perfect for me. The transmitter gets its power from my laptop, and the receivers usually utilize the included USB to C adaptor cables to get powered by the receiving TVs. Alternately a I purchased a few USB power cubes in the event a TV does not have USB, but most do. Picture quality is impressive, so no issues there. Ultimately I have been quite happy with this purchase and would recommend these to anyone who wants to eliminate HDMI or SDI cables and converters, and needs to transmit one source to multiple TVs easily and effectively! ... show more

Cool gadget that works just like it says - super easy and handy

This is a cool product. It lets me connect my DVD player HDMI output to my TV HDMI Input across the room without any wires or cables between the DVD player and the TV. The transmitter and receiver paired instantly and without any action on my part except plugging each into a USB power source. That was slick and I had not expected it to work as well as the instructions promised. They are nice thoughtful useful instructions, unlike instructions that come with some electronic gadgets. The picture it sends is perfect - I can't tell any difference from what I see with an HDMI cable on my 4K TV. As they say in the description there is a slight delay in sound from the source to the TV but after a few minutes of watching we find we don't notice it any more. My distance was only 30 feet but was through a couple walls and it worked perfectly right off. And the units are very compact and light weight which I can see would be a very valuable feature if you decide to add extra receivers and need to pack and carry them in luggage to meetings and events. ... show more
