We got one D-3B to see how we liked it, and we ended up purchasing another to have an additional bell and 2 more receivers. The instructions are pretty clear for pairing the doorbell to the receivers, selecting the sounds, and controlling the volume. Setup goes very quickly. However, mounting the doorbells on the outside of the house requires a few tools. The back piece you mount needs to be drilled or punched out for the screws, and I had to use a slightly longer screw than what was provided in the package. It doesn’t say in the instructions that you are able to pair another doorbell into the system. With that said, I was able to pair an additional doorbell and 2 additional receivers with the original ones. It seems like as long as you have the same model, you should be fine. Was worried that this unit was going to have issues since the instructions said not to place on metal surface, but I had to. People cannot reach through my burglar bars to touch button so I mounted it on the bars next to the gate, no issues but the receiver is less than 50 feet away. Tested at 100 feet with no issues. No interference with other doorbells or anything else, works every time so far. Will update if anything happens. Has some funny sound effects, 52 if I remember right, ding dong works for me but nice to change for parties and guests staying over. ... show more

This AVANTEK wireless doorbell kit is absolutely awesome. As soon as I took it out of the box I could tell that it was well made. This unit replaced a Hampton Bay wireless doorbell. That doorbell had a button that used expensive A23 batteries that drained fast. This units button uses a common CR2032 battery. The base plugs into the wall. It is so simple to install and choose the melody and volume. The price including tax and delivery was so affordable that it was less than I had spent in two months worth of batteries for the old doorbell. That’s no exaggeration. I absolutely love this product. I purchased an older home that did not come with a doorbell so I’ve been on the hunt for a wireless one and let me tell you this one is great. It’s nice and loud so you can hear it throughout the whole house and there are different tunes you can choose from for the doorbell sound which I love and it was very easy to install. I’ve had it for a couple months now and have not had any issues with it what so ever. Definitely recommend buying this you won’t be disappointed!!! ... show more

We currently have a ranch style home and my daughter's bathroom is in one far corner of the house. Although she's potty trained, sometimes she has trouble wiping or needs more TP. I used a 3M strip to place this next to her toilet and put the receiver in the hallway on the opposite side of the house. It's genius!
