This little gadget is terrific! It is incredibly easy to use and is very accurate. Melting chocolate has always been a little tricky either too hot or not melted enough. Now with this, its tempered perfectly. And, its priced right.

    • It works but the red dot is quirky
The first one stopped showing a laser light when I dropped it, which was my fault. This one still shows the laser dot, but for some reason the red dot doesn't show up in my cast iron skillet. It still shows the temperature, but I can't see where it's measuring the heat. I'm giving it four stars because it does work, but it's not perfect. ... show more

Simple, easy to use, and works accurately. These infrared readers do not read through glass, so just realize you need to be pointing it at the direct surface with nothing in between to get an accurate reading.
