You'll have to read the instruction manual to decipher the esoteric hieroglyphs on this thing. Plus the inferred temp was way off. Being that this was more expensive than most, would not recommend.

Checking the temperature of my forehead… 93.6 degrees F. That is not bad. It is the measure of the surface temperature of my skin. Internal temperature is a more accurate measure. It does include a probe to test internal temperature but I didn’t try. I might try it on a steak, for example. I understand from other reviews that there is some understandable compromise in absolute temperature resolution and temperature range. This product seems to favor range of temperature rather than absolute temperature. I think that those who would expect 98.6 degree F from skin temperature would not properly diagnose internal temperature. It is acceptable to me. I would trust it with a steak and many other applications. ... show more
