Why did you pick this product vs others?: Easy setup. This is the 220lb tool-less model. Took about 30-40 minutes. Instructions are pretty awful, but the drawings are at least enough to guess what they want you to do. It mentions mystery parts like a "gasket" which I think means the cross tie a support, and it includes a really nice magnetic level but never once mentions when to use it. The parts were well made and fit nicely and its pretty easy to figure out what to do from drawings in the instructions. I like that I can choose to make the extension bar longer and rest the weight on the interior jamb rather than on the vinyl channels of the window itself. No holes in the window sill or jambs and feels very sturdy. What they mean by tool-less is that you don't need to modify your windows, sills, or jambs; but you do need tools to assemble it the first time-- about 10 bolts, and about 16 machine screws, and all with nylon lock nuts. All the tools you would need are included, but if you have your own 10mm wrenches that didn't get stamped out of sheet-metal and a PH2 screw driver with an actual handle, it'll go faster and your hands will thank you. Looks like it should come out just by picking it up and I can set it right back in next summer-- or choose a different window if I want. Perfect.

Easy to setup following the pictures and getting a general idea what the finished product would look like. Worst part was the final measurement for marking where the outside legs should go as this was being setup on the 10th floor and it could have fallen off easily. But all ended will. I was really pleased with the spirit level provided which had great magnet. I set it up on the cross beam and was able to get the unit perfectly level. Took exactly 40 minutes to setup and I used my own rachet/10mm socket in addition to the one provided as that worked better than the open ended spanner. Checked all the boxes for Build Quality, Fit, Value for money. (Did not call support so that is not rated, instructions provided are a bit sketchy but really for anyone that has done any sort of assembly of home stuff it was perfectly adequate). This was an experimental buy. Am now going to be purchasing more for the other rooms that have AC in the apartment.

Poor instructions. Minimal tools in the kit is not enough to lock tight the nuts. You need a ratchet wrench in addition to the tool kit. The illustrations were useful. It would be better if parts were labeled and matched where they go on the illustration. Not a one person job.

I’m 70, female. Ladies, don’t be afraid you can’t do this. Just lay out the parts, pay attention to which screws go where. It’s a little awkward but take your time, look at videos etc. You’ll be so glad you did. This AC bracket is perfect, no worries! You can’t see the mount but My AC is a 6000 BTU, 43 pounds. I did it all by myself and found it quite easy. I was so relieved! DO get help lifting your AC if you need to.

It was super easy to set up, and the instructions could be easier to read but I figured it out The bracket feels incredibly sturdy, and I have no worries about my air conditioner falling. I have a cinderblock home with vinyl windows and tried to mount this thing in three different spots for three different window units that I was installing, and it would not work in any of the locations. I could get it to sit in the window ledge and mount up against the wall, but it wasn’t level and even with three different brands of air conditioning units. It did not work with any of them. Very disappointed because it actually is well-made, but they need to go back to the drawing board and keep tweaking it. The tools that it came with worked, but Without three hands or help from another person, it was tedious and time consuming. I would have purchased two more of these things if they had of worked, price was not an issue for me.

After a week or more I decided to try to tackle this project as I didn’t want to mess it up so I waited until I was in the right mindset to do it (plus just before the heat actually came) so once I started putting it together and figuring out along the way to use both tools at once it was actually quite easy to assemble. I love the no screw needed concept and works highly recommend this way to go to anyone. Thank you for making this product!!
