This is a decent AC cover at a decent price. It's shaped like a box, so it covers the front, top, sides, and bottom of the unit (the part that sticks outside, at least), unlike some products that leave the bottom exposed. The straps are not well thought out. They never are, on these things. Adjustable straps that aren't fastened to the cover are a lot more adjustable. These are sewn on at one seam, which results in awkward placement. Still, you can get it done. There's no insulation to speak of. If you want to insulate your AC, do that first and then put this over. I used .75" rigid foam cut to size, just taped together around the AC. An old blanket neatly strapped in place would work, or a layer or two of Reflectix, whatever you like. You might need a slightly larger size cover to fit over insulation. Cover seems to be waterproof so far. Mine isn't in direct sunlight, but it seems reasonably durable. ... show more
