This is a decent AC cover at a decent price. It's shaped like a box, so it covers the front, top, sides, and bottom of the unit (the part that sticks outside, at least), unlike some products that leave the bottom exposed. The straps are not well thought out. They never are, on these things. Adjustable straps that aren't fastened to the cover are a lot more adjustable. These are sewn on at one seam, which results in awkward placement. Still, you can get it done. There's no insulation to speak of. If you want to insulate your AC, do that first and then put this over. I used .75" rigid foam cut to size, just taped together around the AC. An old blanket neatly strapped in place would work, or a layer or two of Reflectix, whatever you like. You might need a slightly larger size cover to fit over insulation. Cover seems to be waterproof so far. Mine isn't in direct sunlight, but it seems reasonably durable.

. Quick and easy. I put in on in September and it's still on through Michigan's snow and rain. It took me under 5 minutes to put it on. I wish I had known about it sooner!. Inexpensive too. EDIT: I purchased this in October. Today is April 29th. 6 months later. I live in Michigan and you can believe we experience winter. Needless to say, when I pulled the cover off this morning, not only was it snug and secure but, it still had the creases in it from when I first purchased it. It did not move an inch. Great purchase, excellent price, I am satisfied.

Rating updated to 3 stars. It lasted 2 winters but I just went to put it on & the material that was used for the cinching straps was literally pulling apart while just loosening the buckle in prep to put it on. It was cheap so maybe 2 winters is a good life span for this but it's frustrating all the same.
