We have three dogs. 2 bostons & a Great Dane. They are indoor/outdoor pets so they bring in allot of dust, pollen, & odor. Our house smells better, we clean our fan blades less, and we’ve noticed our daughter has had less allergy issues since switching. Update FEB 2021: I recently changed my first set of filters after I had them in for 2 months. I liked them so much that I bought a dozen more. I wish Amazon would allow for the custom sizes so I can order them here, but I was able to order direct from their website. I can really noticed a difference in smells in the house. I normally smell stuff that others don't and I feel there is a noticeable difference. These also do not stress out my blower motor or slow down the air flow even though I was used to using a lower merv rated filter. I was using the lowest merv rating for a pleated filter which is a 5 or 6 I think. It also could be that these are working better because they are an exact fit in my furnace compared to what I was using which were a little big maybe. Since I got the custom size I was able to get an exact fit so there is very little if any air going around the filter. After the 2 months I took the filter out to change it and it was still slightly orange in color and not completely yellow. My house is pretty clean though as I use room air cleaners in all my rooms. I'm actually so happy with these filters I might consider ditching some of the room air cleaners and just changing my furnace filters more frequently. I have upped my rating to 5 stars since I felt confident enough to order a dozen filters, which will last us a year for our 2 furnace system if I change them every 2 months. Update OCT 2021: I got contacted by the manufacturer and they offered to make me two custom sized filters at no charge and send them to me. I was blown away by their honesty. I upgraded my rating to 4 stars on that alone and will further update once I get them. ---------------------------------------- Original review: We have lived in this house for 12 years and I have bought many different 16x25x1 inch filters. Some are a smidge smaller so you don't have to fight with it to get it in and out but our opening is 16x25x1 and the guard to keep it in place is 1/4" on the top and bottom so when I slide this in the top is flopping free and would easily get sucked into the furnace. How dumb can they be? I know that the sizes are not exact and a little smaller but this is even a smidge smaller than what is mentioned for the actual size. I really wanted to try this to help have more clean air but unfortunately these will be going back. This company should know better. 16x25 should only be a smidge smaller at most or they should not sell it as a 16x25 filter. So annoyed ... show more

I have two cats. This filer lasted me about 2 months before it was down to the 25% when I have been running my system about half that time. I do think it helps cut down on some of the items but I’m not convinced it’s better than the cheaper ones with the coils in them. I’ve never had issues with smell so I’m not sure if these improved the smell or it stayed the same. Overall, the technology is cool but maybe not worth the price point. ... show more
