  • Magic wand is magically delightful!!
My daughter had a developmental eval done where they needed to get and maintain her attention. For little ones these settings can be tough when you consider new people, new surroundings, and difficult requests. When I saw how much interest she showed so quickly I immediately had to have one! It's amazing! The batteries it came with lasted *maybe* two hours lol Nothing a screwdriver and 3 AA batteries couldn't fix! When I replaced the batteries, I saw the ones that had been in there weren't a name brand (or at least not one I recognized) Once I replaced the batteries, they've so far lasted 3 days - so I'd say, plan to replace them pretty early on ...but once you do, it's not like they'll drain that fast moving forward. The spinning of the star with lights causes a bit of vibration and sound - great for sensory input and development! She's also slightly teething and I've noticed she enjoys putting it against her gums as it's running. The first one I ordered came damaged. The way it appeared, it was damaged in transit - but the replacement was hassle free and shipment was prompt! Absolutely no complaints from me as far as that goes. Life happens and the way things were handled was exceptional. The absolute only downside I have is after about 5 to 10 minutes of use it tends to start warming up to the touch. So it's not going to be a toy I'd give her during something like say, a car ride, where it might be difficult to take back if it were getting too warm. We usually give it to her for a period of time then just check it to feel how warm it is and either turn it off or hold onto it for a bit before giving it back. She loves it though! When she saw me take it out of the box (she was busy at the time.and I thought I was being quiet lol) she screeched for joy and frantically started reaching for it from across the room lol she knew exactly what it was. She's extremely possessive when it comes to this wand and it's going to now be one of our big deal toys for muscle work and calming/distraction after immunizations. For the price, it's a steal. Even if I had to purchase one of these a month, it'd be a steal. I don't however think it's built for durability. I'd say, be prepared to replace *fairly* often. Maybe not once a month, but if you're using it daily like we do, maybe once every 2-3 months. ... show more

  • Survived Disney World (and Toddler Drops!)
This little wand was pure Disney magic ✨ We brought it with us to Disney World and it was an instant hit—bright, spinny, and mesmerizing enough to keep two toddlers happy in long lines (which honestly deserves its own award). Durability test? Passed with flying colors. Our toddler dropped it on the ground a couple of times (okay… more than a couple 😅) and it still worked perfectly. No cracks, no drama, still spinning like nothing happened. It’s safe and light weight and easily packable in a suitcase. We originally bought one, but it was such a crowd-pleaser that we immediately ordered a SECOND one for our other toddler. Totally worth it. Fun, sturdy, and way cheaper than the park toys—would 100% buy again! ... show more

  • Bright and entertaining.
Reviewing after a couple of years. This was a gift for my little brother, the simplest gift but the biggest hit. He took it with him everywhere, super entertained with the lighting and spinning, thought he'd drain the batteries within a couple of days with his usage. Fortunately, it uses AA batteries, so it's an easy replacement. It has pretty bright lighting and makes a small whirring sound, so not super loud or annoying. It's a decent size, the size of a kid's water bottle, which is reasonable. The material is plastic, but it's so durable that it's been thrown around and fallen a lot, and the most damage it's taken is that the plastic ball shell was slightly offset, so the spinny part bumps into it now and makes a clicky sound. For a couple years worth of usage and damage, I'd say that's pretty good considering the price. ... show more

  • Waste of money, stops working quickly.
Cheapest, flimsiest toy I’ve ever purchased my kid. Just yikes. It’s super loud, it feels cheap and junky, and now the second one has stopped working. One, the light stopped but the device kept spinning. This one just completely stopped working despite changing batteries. It was fun for the few days it lasted I guess, absolute waste of money. Save yourself the wasted cash and find something else. ... show more

  • Battery door catch broke off but works as intended
Spinning light part works as described. My autistic granddaughter enjoys watching the spinning lights. Only problem is the battery door on the handle does not stay on. Appears the small latch holding the battery door broke off. Ended up putting a piece of tape to keep the door on and it works perfectly as intended. ... show more
