This Smart WIFI doorbell chime is a pretty innovative product. The product page advertises use with Nest/Ring/Blink doorbells but has greater compatibility. I am actually using it with a Eufy doorbell. As long as your doorbell app is available to be linked with Alexa skills then it should work with this product. The instructions were simple and straightforward for me (I am very technical though). It asks you to use Tuya SmartLife. I have all my Tuya devices installed on the actual Tuya (Red "T") app. I used that instead and the product quickly auto-installed after putting it in pairing mode (hold down top button on side until it flashes red) and connected to my WIFI. From there, I opened up the Alexa app and since Tuya is already linked with Alexa skills it automatically found the new device. Lastly, I setup an Alexa routine to engage the Doorbell Chime when the Eufy "doorbell press" event occurs. It worked, but there was quite the delay, maybe 2-3 seconds after the actual doorbell press. This is expected as it has to go through 2 cloud services (both Tuya and Alexa) to work. There is no battery life concerns which is a bonus since the doorbell chime plugs directly into an open outlet. At about $45, this thing is not cheap and the performance you get does not justify the price. Additionally, the WIFI antenna in this must be very small as I had to keep it fairly close (no more than 2 rooms away) to the router or it wouldn't work. Despite those concerns, it is working for my use case and allows me to extend notification in a rental home. Due to the price, if I had a choice I would probably get an echo dot which is more functional and does the same thing as an extended doorbell chime...well at least in the Eufy ecosystem.

I was excited to try this WiFi wireless doorbell chime since it claims compatibility with Ring doorbells and offers a wide volume range, multiple tones, and no wiring. The unit itself looks nice, feels well made, and the blue illuminated ring is easy to see from across the room. Unfortunately, I could not get it to work with our Ring doorbell despite spending quite a bit of time following the instructions and trying different setup methods. The process seems much more complicated than it needs to be, especially for something that is supposed to provide a simple plug-and-play solution. The app setup and pairing process were not very intuitive, and I never successfully got it connected and functioning with our system. The concept is great, and I like the idea of having a customizable chime without a subscription, but the setup experience was frustrating. If you’re comfortable troubleshooting smart home devices, you may have better luck than I did. For us, compatibility with our Ring system was the deciding factor, and unfortunately, it didn’t work out.

It depends solely on the mini-speakers to give a voice announcement that someone's at the door (no chime sound) and most of the time it is too soft to be heard in all rooms of the house. I've searched for a doorbell chime that will work with Google Nest, but till now had not been able to find one. As a result, I was delighted to see this Smart Chime that says it works with Google! Now: I am pleased to report that this chime DOES work with Google! And it sounds great. There are a lot of chime tones to choose from. Some sounded good, some sounded stupid (like a barking dog). I chose the Westminster chime sound, and everyone in the family likes it. The volume of the chime is adjustable by pressing a button on the side of the unit. The chime unit itself looks modern and attractive and is made well. It plugs directly into a wall outlet of your choice with no range limitation. It can be at the far end of your house from the doorbell and still work flawlessly. I think it was money well spent, and recommend it. A note on the installation: The chime is easy to install if you have a Ring or Blink doorbell. For Google Nest doorbells (both wired and battery), however, it is a bit more complicated. In the case of all the types of doorbells, you are required to download two apps (if you don't already have them.) I had one app but had to download the one for Alexa. That was confusing to me at first, but that's the way it works. You do Not need an Alexa unit in your house, just the app. It took me a while to do the installation. I read the instructions maybe three times - carefully - before I fully understood what it was saying. Fortunately, I was careful to follow the instructions precisely and the installation proceeded perfectly. And if I as a 76 year old can do it, you can too. BOTTOM LINE: If you have a Google Nest doorbell and want a chime, I highly recommend this one. It's worth the installation effort. And if you have Blink or Ring, it's easier and I recommend it for you too.

This doorbell chime does exactly what it’s supposed to do and adds a lot of value to a Wi-Fi doorbell setup. Until now, we relied entirely on our phones for doorbell notifications since our doorbell isn’t hardwired. That worked most of the time, but it was easy to miss alerts if a phone was on silent or left in another room. Having a physical chime provides some extra peace of mind, especially when expecting visitors or deliveries. Setup was quick and easy. It paired with my Ring doorbell without any compatibility issues and was up and running in just a few minutes. The design is compact and only takes up a single outlet space. The build quality feels solid, and the chime gets surprisingly loud when turned up, while still offering lower volume settings and a mute option. I also like that I can disable it from the app when I need some quiet time and don't want the dogs going crazy. Range has been excellent, working reliably throughout our house, including the basement. The different chime options are a nice bonus, although we'll probably stick with the traditional doorbell sound. Overall, it's a useful, well-designed product that works as advertised. The price feels fair, and I'd consider it a good value if you're looking to add a traditional in-home chime to a compatible Wi-Fi doorbell.

This Smart WiFi Wireless Doorbell Chime is a clever and practical idea, especially for larger homes, garages, basements, workshops, or anywhere a doorbell notification may be difficult to hear. The concept is simple but useful: instead of relying only on a phone notification or a smart speaker announcement, this gives you a dedicated chime device that can be placed where it is needed most. Functionally, it does what it is supposed to do. It provides a wireless notification option without requiring new wiring, a traditional doorbell transformer, or a subscription. In that sense, it performs much like using Alexa or Google Home for doorbell alerts, but with the advantage of being a dedicated chime rather than depending entirely on a smart speaker setup. That makes it a nice option for people who want a more traditional doorbell-style alert while still using modern WiFi-connected devices. Setup and use are straightforward, and the no-wiring design is a major convenience. It is also helpful for locations where a normal doorbell chime is not practical, such as a detached garage, basement, office, or far end of the house. The volume adjustment is useful, and the unit itself is a good solution for extending doorbell awareness throughout the home. The main weakness, and the reason I am rating it 4 out of 5 stars rather than 5, is the ringtone selection. In actual use, the available chime sounds were disappointing. It only offered five ringtone options in my setup, and unfortunately none of them were particularly pleasant. Since this is a doorbell chime, the sound options matter quite a bit. A better selection of more natural, classic, or less annoying tones would make this product much stronger. Overall, this is a smart and useful device with a very good purpose. This is a good solution for those that have more remote areas in a home or property where there is no line of sight to the front door or other area where deliveries or personnel might appear. I have a detached garage that is quite removed from the house, so having a chime like this to sound if there is someone at the door actually ringing the door bell is very useful. As long as I am made aware that there is someone there, I can answer through the security camera system with my phone and have them wait for me to get there. Most times, deliveries don't require my attention with a parcel locker available and rarely signatures required, but you don't need to miss or delay a delivery if that situation presents itself.

As a homeowner, I like keeping things simple when it comes to smart devices. A doorbell should be one of the easiest upgrades you can make, mount it, connect it, and you’re done. Unfortunately, this Smart WiFi Wireless Doorbell Chime made the setup far more complicated than it needed to be. The biggest frustration right out of the gate was having to install three different apps just to get everything working. For something as basic as a doorbell, that was super annoying and honestly unnecessary. Once I finally got through the setup maze, the device itself performed… fine. The functionality is decent for the price, and the chime is loud enough to hear throughout the house. The WiFi connection has been stable so far, no hiccups! It really works far distances because of the bridging apps that relay when the doorbell is pressed. So distance is never going to be a problem since it works with apps. It is cross-platform and works with multiple doorbells, though I'm using it with Google Doorbell. That's a wonderful option for someone who doesn't mind installing three apps (SmartLife, Alexa and your doorbell app). But even with those positives, the overall experience feels more complicated than it should be. The interface between the apps isn’t very intuitive, and switching between them just to adjust settings or check alerts gets old fast. The hardware is decent, but the software side really drags down the experience. If you’re patient and don’t mind juggling multiple apps, it might work for you. But as a homeowner who values straightforward, reliable smart devices, this one left me more frustrated than impressed. It’s not terrible, but it definitely needs improvement.
