I have had this lock for over a year now and would like to leave a review for those who might be in the market for a new lock. Look and feel This lock looked great and felt great from the moment I opened the package to assembly. It's no iPhone packaging but I was quite impressed. The installation instruction was easy to follow and it took me about 30 minutes to replace my previous lock. It came with most things I needed except for the drill :). Gateway and the mobile app I bought the lock with the gateway so I could manage the lock(s) remotely. The gateway was easy to set up and with the iPhone app (I believe Android app is also available) I was able to create permanent keys as well as temporary keys with expiration dates. The app has a lot of functionalities that I haven't had time to explore them all. I got all I need without investing too much time learning all the features. Functional As much as I was impressed with all the hi-tech features, at the end of the day, I was buying a lock and this lock had all basic things I was looking for. It's solid and looks pretty hard to break in. It came with a deadbolt which was what I wanted for the front door. I felt pretty safe with it. Durability While reviews for other locks in the market seem to complain that hi-tech locks eats up batteries quickly, I am happy to say that is not my case (knock on woods). I have had this lock for over a year now and I have not had a need to change out the batteries. Another win here. All and all, I am happy with this lock and wouldn't mind buying it again should I have a need for another one.

We have had two of these locks since July, installed one immediately and has worked great, no issues and app works great too. It’s gets cold here too, like in the negative degrees and no issues with them working when it gets that cold. We waited to install second lock because we special ordered a door. Meanwhile the lock on the current door broke so we were forced to install the second one early before the door has arrived. We installed the new lock and it worked great and next day it stopped working. We thought the lock was broken and thought no way will they warranty this since we waited so long to install it, but customer service gal named Eunice was a rockstar. Turns out it was operator error, the swing of the door had got switched in the app from left to right so it wasn’t broken at all. Just want to say customer service was so fast and efficient, this all happened at 9pm our time. I had customer service helping me at 9pm, that’s some great service.

Product is great. So much better than fumbling with keys when hands are full. App is good. Finger print response is fine. Battery life (after a month and a half) is 100%. I don't care that it's not connected to my wifi. Make sure you drill the one hole required straight through.... I screwed mine up a little but it's fine. I also reused and did not need to replace the existing latch plate on the door frame. The instructions are not great but the install is not too bad (I do have a technical, hands on background). The one negative and reason for 4 outta 5 stars is it would be nice if there was some kind of "open door recognition". When the door is left open, my timer still operates the dead bolt closed. So the door is open and the dead bolt is sticking out.... Luckily, no one has either slammed the door or gotten caught on the dead bolt. Not a major issue and the lock is well worth the money spent.

I bought two of these locks, and one malfunctioned after a year. Upon contacting their customer service, they promptly respond with instructions. Regrettably, after reviewing the video per their guidance, it was determined that the motor was the issue. Despite the expired warranty, customer service assured me of a replacement. I'm currently awaiting the replacement, but I'm genuinely impressed by their swift response and positive approach.

Update -- These locks will tell you in the app that they locked even when they are not. They are UNSAFE!!! If the lock is jammed and the bolt does not go into the frame hole, the app will still say that it is locked. I discussed it with their tech support and they agreed that that is the way they work. Also, the app will tell you that it is locked even after it was unlocked manually. You can never really know if the lock is locked without manually checking it. The touch pad is very glitchy and it would take many tries to to unlock a door that way. I have 2 locks and one quit working altogether after one year. I wasted $226.00 on these 2 locks and ended up ripping them both out and replacing them with Kwickset Halo locks for just a little bit more and they work GREAT. Old Review-- If you lock or unlock the door manually it does not update the status when you go to look at it. You can unlock a door and hours later check the status uning your phone and it will still say it is locked, and visa versa. If you lock the door remotely and for some reason it doesn't lock, like the door isn't closed enough for the bolt to line up with the hole in the frame, it will beep at the door but it will still show you that it locked on your phone when it really didn't. You will not know that the door isn't really locked. You can not have confidence that it is really locked. When you check the status of a lock using you phone, the phone screen says "Trying to get lock status" as if it is actually going to the lock itself for status, but it is only telling you what it was told to do the last time you told it to lock remotely by your phone or using the combination. It is not giving you the actual status of the bolt. I have 2 of these locks and they rarely open or close the lock using the touchpad.
