Punches way above its price point

Excellent scope and mount for the money. I own a Burris RT6 1x6 illuminated reticle scope and 1 piece mount that is almost 3 - 4 times the price depending on where you purchase. The glass on both are very similar, clarity is a tad better on the Burris but they are almost identical for my eyes. Illumination on the Banshee has red and green vs the RT6 is only red. The fit and finish is not as nice as the RT6 but again at 1/4 the cost, overall I would definitely purchase it again. I currently have the Banshee mounted on a 18” Ruger MPR AR15. Zeroed it at 50 yards with 5 sets of 2 shot groups. Has held zero for over 400 rds so far and at the 100 yard range at 6 power I’m able to make consistent groups within 1/2” of bullseye when I do my part (bench rested off rifle bag). Absolutely zero regrets, would not hesitate to purchase this scope again. Remember, it’s a complete set up at sub $100, I believe it punches way above its price point. I personally do not think there is a scope and mount combo that’s is comparable up to $250 other than possibly the Sig Sauer lpvo 1x6 when on sale. The one distinct advantage I can see that the Burris RT6 has over the Banshee is the field of view is better for sure, but neither are daylight bright so if that is important to you, make sure you order the daylight bright version. I do not have any experience with the Monstrum daylight bright version but if it truly is daylight bright, I’d personally spend the extra money next time. I have been very pleased with my Burris RT6 but again for nearly 1/4 the total cost the Monstrum has can get the job done. Again, I’ve only used it in a target setting so in a hunting or duty setting your opinion may vary but for hunting I believe you will be well served. With the lifetime warranty it’s a solid purchase. For someone on a budget or just getting into lpvo’s I personally think this is the better choice of the sub $200 scopes for sure.

5 Stars For What It Is

I got the SFP which is probably best for a budget 1-6 LPVO. • No LPVO is going to have true 1x and the Banshee is as close as they typically get. • Glass is surprisingly better at 6x than a Sig Tango at 6x • Holds zero and stays put as long as you use blue loctite on the mounting screws. • Brightness is fine for the SFP so no issues there. Can't speak for the 1x brightness on FFP. • Eye relief at 1x and 6x is acceptable. • Only gripe I might have is the amount of tension on the power dial when moving between 1x and 6x. I got the Monstrum throw lever which helps, but I would recommend using a piggyback dot or canted backups for quick transitions if you're running drills or plan on getting into matches.

Decent

It has held up fairly well and it's pretty accurate. Down side I've had difficulty sighting it in. Possibly operator error so take that with a grain of salt. Over all it's a clear glass and seems sturdy enough for general use

Good purchase

I have this scope mounted on my AR15, Ive put about 500 rounds through and it is still on sight, have not needed to adjust it any. Feel lucky this was a good buy.

Good clear glass with clean illumination

I didn't have enough cash to get an LPVO from "higher end" companies at the time of purchase, so I tried this scope based on a few reviews on a popular streaming site, and was pleasantly surprised. The glass is nice and clear with a nicely etched reticle, and the illumination (either red or green) was bright when needed without "overpowering" the reticle. I am able to perform "move and aim " drills without perceiving any blur beyond what my own movement incurs, and the sight picture settles right down when I stop moving. I definitely would buy another scope from Monstrum.

Excellent Scope

This is a great scope, especially for the money. Very good mount that bolts right to the picatinny in a minute flat, very good eye relief with a long eye box, great audible/tactile feedback from the turrets with zero reset capability. Illumination works as it should, although I actually rarely use illuminated reticles. Also, reticle styles are a very personal choice, and I usually don't care for fancy, over-elaborate reticles, but I do like the reticle on this scope. The glass seems clear and bright with little to no aberration that I could detect until you went to max mag, but even then it was very minimal. The only very slight issue with this scope is with the included flip-open lens covers. The Objective end cover is nice and tight and works as it should, but the Ocular cover is loose and barely stays on the scope. When you try to flip the cover open it falls completely off the scope. Don't really use the covers anyway so it's not a big deal.
