I am a 60 yo woman and I installed it by myself. Already put another one in my cart and will be replacing most of my door knobs with this lock. Instructions were not clear to me and I had a part that was not in the booklet so there was that. I also ruined a screwdriver removing the old one lol. The fingerprint and the number codes worked on first try. Love how easy it was for me to program and the doorknob feels good not cheap. The only thing I would add to instructions is that the knob won’t open the latch thingy until it is plugged in and batteries are added. I kept trying it before tightening screws and silly me didn’t realize why it wouldn’t work. Took me awhile to figure that out. Could just be me 😂 I want more of these ❤️ ... show more

I bought this door lock to put on our door that leads to the upstairs we live in the down stairs area. My grandma lives up stairs we care for her full time she is almost 100. My kids are little maniacs they love to go upstairs and hide from me when it's time for school or time for dinner or they go bother grandma whenever it's not a good time they also most of all started to sneak outside and we have a creek that surrounds our home. My 5 yr old is so incredibly fast. He snuck outside went thru the woods across the creek and up the back street going towards the main road very scary situation if it wasn't for my cameras I wouldn't have known. This lock has Givin me such a peace of mind. It lock the door from the inside and they can not leave unless I allow. They can't figure it out either! We have had so many locks they could figure out most other locks like this one are way to expensive. This lock is a heaven sent. It was very easy to put together it has a qr code to scan that takes you to YouTube and had a demo video on how to install the handle and another qr code that shows you how to install the app amd settings in your phone. With this lock you get keys, a pass code, and a Bluetooth enabled app on your phone with a big button you push to tell it to lock or unlock. It also tells you a log of how many times and when anyone has attempted to open or did open this lock. You also can assign finger prints to I think up to 1000 ppl I just did one for mom and one for dad and sure enough this thing works. I am sooooo happy. My stress level has gone down dramatically over the past few days. The worrying about my youngest son had me so upset I couldn't take it anymore. My stomach was in knots. I had to take stomach meds to help me feel better due to all the stress thus kid has put me thru. Thank you to this company! I know I can sleep easy tonight and for many nights to come. This in my opinion is a very good choice. I have had zero issues with it. Took me about 45 mins to have the whole thing up and running and I previously had no idea how to install anything like this.     • Instructions written by an unproficiant English speaker - Programing is difficult.

This lock is similar, almost identical, to several locks by other sellers/manufacturers. It is easy to install but very difficult to program. The instruction booklet was obviously written by someone who was not proficient in the English language and also could not layout a proper sequence of instruction. Once you get it to accept the fingerprints of the users it does respond, but only after a slight pause. You have to touch the fingerprint button, pause, and then turn the handle. Sometimes it requires a second touch. The coded entrance requires that you "wake" the unit with a touch, enter the code, and then touch "#" before turning the handle. This lock does not come with any seal to the door or gasket. It does come with two different length spacing bars and spare screws for the battery compartment. It uses regular AAA alkaline batteries that go into the inside handle. The key works, but will be hard to find a blank or someone to make duplicates. The website presents in Chinese. Yes, it has a button for English, but that button does not work. Advice to seller/manufacturer: Get a native speaker of English who has some experience in writing instruction booklets to write a proper booklet, put up an English language website and present a U. S. based phone number. ... show more

I'm using this door lock on an interior door separating my garage from my laundry room, so it doesn't need to be exterior rated, which it probably isn't....strength wise or weather wise. So far, for my needs, it's working well and it meets my expectations. Installation was simple and fast. Here's where I ran into issues....the app. Could it be more difficult to set up??? I doubt it! Once it is set up, though, it reads fingerprints well and the codes work.....I have it set up for three individuals. It's nice knowing there's a physical key to fall back on and I really like the by-pass function....I found out how that works by accident. My only issue is the app.....there has to be a more user friendly option..... ... show more

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Love these locks! This is my third one from Secustone. Easy to install(5 min) and set up fingerprints/code(another 5 minutes). The black one looks super sleek and glossy, especially with screen off. These things have survived the cold, the heat, rain and snow. With fresh set of batteries they last about 1.5 years w/ daily use. Tips -add many fingerprint sets for the same finger for accuracy -add your non dominant hand -change batteries at first signs ... show more
