This is actually one of the best items I have ever ordered from Amazon. Only because it has help solve a 4 year old problem that we didn't have a clue how to resolve until I tried this pump. It pumps our water quick and easy and I really do mean quick. What use to take my husband 45 minutes to empty a water filled bucket every other night now only takes 5 minutes MAX ad with all the heavy lifting. It wasn't impressive when I first saw it because I didn't think that this little gadget would be so powerful. It small but mighty. It is well made and a little heavy but that is good because it helps it float the bottom right where I need it to be to completely drain the huge bucket My only negative is that I wish it did come with a hose just as an option.

I had 1/4th and 1/2 inch tubing, but the smallest nozzle included with this didn't fit the half inch so I ordered 3/4 inch tubing. I just got that tubing today so have not had a chance to set this up in a fountain/pool in my front yard. The point is to provide fresh, circulating water that the birds and small critters (I have some feral cats around the area) have access to. This pump should be fine for the faux rock wall I built around an old metal plant stand using basically trash (plastic bags filled with paper and other plastic, squished and then tied tight, glued several of these bags together to create the core of the rock wall that was then secured to the old metal plant stand. I used latex concrete to cover the bags/metal stand and let it cure for a few days. Washed it down and set it in a solid blue kiddy pool. This pump along with the tubing I had to purchase will circulate the water in the pool by taking it up to the top of the faux rock wall and then it will splash down the "rocks" back into the kiddy pool. It's a cheap way to have a water feature, but this, while I will enjoy hearing the splash of water (from the pump moving the water), it isn't truly for me, because we have had almost 2 months of 100+ days, natural water sources have dried up and the birds and small animals near me really need the water! I have had some small fountains around, but every day the heat dries them up enough I have to top them off in the morning and evening. This pump and the pool it will be in will also need water replenishment, but it should provide more water in one place than the small fountains I have around my fence line (where it is easier for me to get the hose to top them off). I am confident this pump will work well in my fountain now that I have the proper size of tubing.

Good replacement for a water fountain I had outside that the pump went bad on. Seems to be working well. Had to play with tubing a little bit with the tub sizing work but was able to make it worth with a couple clamps..
