This saved my Nephew last summer when his cooler went out and it was over 100° everyday. He freezes water bottles to use when the included water packs melt and just switches them out to keep the air cool. At the time it was a lot cheaper than buying a new full size house cooler.

Used product! Again, this is from another country, but it was a Prime purchase. Our hottest day already came and went since this item arrived the day before, used and damaged and needed to be replaced. I did order a replacement, but alas, a lot of good that will do when we suffered out a 91 degree day which is why I made the purchase to begin with. Personally, the replacement should have been expedited. Now it will wait, and I hope like heck it's not used when I open it up as well, otherwise it will go back for a full refund. ... show more

    • Not what I expected
The air flow at high speed is not enough to actually cool people down. The ice packs don't even make a difference in temperature. Even in a open area, outside, you can't feel much of a difference.

Bought just in time for a record-breaking heatwave here in So. California. This unit provides a lot of power and does cool down a large area. I wouldn't recommend using it inside the room you're sleeping in. It's loud and there's no way to dim the bright blue lights on it. I used a towel to block the lights. Works best in low humidity, but even did ok during this horrible and muggy heatwave. One last thing, this unit seems to have the most water storage of all that I searched for. This is good as you can run this unit all night (7 or 8 hours depending on humidity), if you fill it all the way up. ... show more

Purchase to use in the garage/luvingroom and occasionally outside. The ad shows a picture of it being used outdoors. Reading the directions, it says do not use outside. The unit is quiet, not as noisy as others I've had in the past. The only frustrating thing is, you have to pour the water in directly in the top. Others have a door on the bottom which make it easier. It was about 93* outside, The cooler kept my living room at 78*. Also, if you're gonna be running it for long periods of time, It is a good idea to purchase extra reuseable ice blocks. The 2 that come with this unit only last about 60 minutes. The plug on the bottom does Occasionally leak. I used plumber's tape and put a waterproof mat underneath the unit. ... show more

Wheels is a plus. Oscillating is a plus. Adjustable vents is good. Slightly cooler air than a fan is good but it certainly is not an air conditioner.
