Grill like it will work well, have not used it yet. Our problem is that the grill came VERY dented on multiple pieces and scratched up edge of the hood. For the price of the grill one would hope packing and shipping would be better. Very disappointed. Would recommend the grill but get it in store if possible. ... show more

    • Outstanding grill. Great heat distribution. Love the side burner.
I was able to setup the grill by myself once I removed the hood. I accomplished this by tearing one side of the box at the corners so I could remove the two clips holding the pins that held the hood on. Then removed everything from the inside of grill/box. This lightened the main load and made it easy to handle everything. Could have used a second pair of hands for a couple items but not necessary. Grill heats to about 600 degrees during the 15 minute warmup phase then maintains the temp at whatever you set it at for item your grilling. Need to learn and mark grill knob setting for future use in regards to operating temp like any oven. ... show more

    • Can you make a brown seared medium rare steak with the lid on?
In my experience the answer is NO. I got this grill excited of the extra sear burner and reviews. It didn’t work, because even if it is preheated 20 min all 4 burners, after adding an inch thick NY strip and closing the lid, it is almost impossible to get dark brown sear marks and be red in the middle. If I cook with the lid up, even on hot weather with no wind outside, still the grill is not hot enough to get what I want; if leave it longer i get marks but the meat is toward well done, if i take it out faster, it is redish in the middle but no caramelisation on top. I improved it with DCS ceramic rods, I have got a bit more temperature but still not enough. I even tried once to raise the far ends of the tube burners about an inch higher in order to get the flame closer to the grates; still it didn’t work, getting uneven heat and still too low. I guess my only option is infrared side burner, but it seems too complicated because i will need a dedicated/separate valve and regulator for the IR burner (all in a decent price range). Any suggestion how can i increase the BTU to the first 3 burners on the left, to get the searing zone hotter? Some says to bore/enlarge the valves orifice, others only the tube burner holes, but for that I have to change the regulator to get higher pressure. Somebody suggested to get a High Output Burner, but I can’t find something like this. Bottom line, for anything else than a pretention steak aficionado, this grill is good. ... show more

    • Good 3 burner grill with side burner. Too expensive for what it is. You pay for the name.
This is my 2nd E330 Weber Spirit grill. Bought previous one at local hardware store. Free assembly, free delivery and some amount of dollars of Weber grill accessories on a debit card which I never used up. Not sure how long the first one lasted. The flavorizer bars burned thru inside of 2 or 3 yrs, whatever the warranty is. They gave me some lip before replacing them for free. The sparker went out and they replaced that but I might have had to pay for it. This grill does everything I need it to do except smoke and I have a smoker for that. A side burner is a must for me and this grill has one. My old grill would barely light the other day and there was not much flame even when it was wide open on the valve. I gave in an ordered another one. Nobody stocks this one anymore. They want to order it or sell you a more expensive one. I knew I was in for a treat having to put this one together. It took me 2 hours and this is not my first rodeo in 60 yrs. A few of the nuts and bolts are almost impossible to get a tool on. Poor design. A cordless drill/screwdriver is handy and not listed as a necessary tool in the assembly instructions. They listed flat blade screwdriver, phillips, 7/16 socket, and two box wrench sizes. I never used the flat head or the wrenches. A little side cutter/wire cutter is very handy as are a pair of heavy duty scissors. You end up with a ton of cardboard and plastic bags. I will recycle all the cardboard. Amazon offers assembly for $75. I would not drive to your house and put this together for $75. So that is a deal depending on what your time is worth. The instructions are all pictures/drawings and to their credit, they are pretty good but not great. Keep trash, leaves, spiders, etc out of the gas valve connectors on grill and tank. I have had to replace 2 gas hose and valve assemblies on my smoker due either trash in the gas itself or trash that gets in the connectors and clogs up the works. May have been what put the last nail in the coffin on my old E330 but I was tired of buying and replacing parts. Also, buy a good grill cover and keep it covered up when not in use. Previous weber lasted 20 years, could go another 10. Didn't want to keep buying flavorizer bars and grates. This model gets hot quick. Haven't mastered the sear station yet. Can't go wrong with weber. They last. Disappointed for the price that all grates and flavizor bars aren't stainless steel for durability. ... show more
