I used the kit to fix the Kenmore water softener. Tip, used the attached grease or silicone grease to make installing with rubber ring much easier, also prolong the life of the rubber ring.

This product seemed compatible and it also came with a tool to remove the gasket. It also came with lubricant to apply around the gasket area to get a good fit. I compared the gasket to the old one and it was pretty much the same. Unfortunately my probably was not the gasket. I called whirlpool and they told me if the o ring didn’t solve my leaking then I would have to replace the bypass valve. I wish replacing the o-rings would have done the job but it didn’t in my situation. However the quality overall was very comparable to the OEM parts. ... show more
