I am 100% happy with this ice machine. It does crank out the ice. I made 80 lbs of ice in a 1 1/2 days. Besides the ice machine, I am extremely impressed with Hothope's customer service. I had an issue where the door for the ice storage bin wasn't installed when I received the ice maker. Not sure how that happened. I contacted Hothope and they responded immediately. They were very apologetic about the door not being installed and they made a personal how-to video for me. It worked out perfect and I installed the door quickly!! No matter what you buy on Amazon, sooner or later you will have an issue. Its how the seller responds to that issue. Hothope provides excellent customer service along with a great product!!! I highly recommend it

Piece of junk, called customer support to talk to them , they would call me back after I paid $5.00 to talk to a tech that’s called you on his time, who said that if water pump is out , cheaper to buy another ice maker. But to their knowledge they don’t understand that you can steer around that crap. You can find them on eBay, Amazon and other sites. I will be looking for an American made one after this pump I put on there wears out.

I bought this ice machine for my cold plunge ice bath, and it works great. Makes the ice cubes fast and solid enough. Great customer service when you contact them. I have the ice machine a couple of years now and still working well.

The ice maker is exactly as described. I purchased this item because I wanted the ability to use a 5 gallon bottle as well as plumb it into my water line. Both of those are extremely easy. It works as described. The ice is made quickly and consistently. There is however, an issue that makes things a little misleading. The bin will "hold 35 pounds" is certainly not accurate in most instances. The ice is dumped in sheets of 45 cubes each cycle. Those sheets will sometimes break up when they fall, but generally remain in fairly large clusters. These clusters stack up MUCH faster than individual ice cubes would stack, so, when you go to empty the bin and fill bags or coolers or whatever, there is really less than 20 pounds in the bin, and the ice maker has stopped making ice because it is "full". If the ice maker dumped individual ice cubes it would probably hold 35 pounds easily, but it doesn't, so that's a bit misleading. I got this to use for filling coolers for fishing and other outdoor activities, so I have to go out every couple of hours and fill up a couple of bags until I have 10 bags or so in my freezer. This keeps me from needing to stop at the store and pay $2.50 for one 7 pound bag of ice. I give it high marks because, so far, it works well and was very easy to get going. I have no doubts that it will make 100 pounds every day...if you keep the bin emptied out multiple times. Just don't plan on having 35 pounds of usable ice in the bin if you run it overnight. Count on 15 or so.

My wife and I use a ton of ice. We drink ice water from the time we get up until we switch to cocktails in the evening. The icemaker in our refrigerator (Samsung) has never worked properly so we resorted to old fashioned ice trays. They were a pain the behind, so I purchased this ice maker. We both really like it, however, my wife says she will never be without it again. She absolutely loves it. It makes ice quickly, I have mine set on 8 minutes. Any longer and the ice kicks out too thick to break up easily. We start the machine in the evening and it makes enough ice to last until the next evening, so we always have plenty of ice. If we want to fill a cooler, we start it up and within an hour we have more than enough to fill a small cooler. I am very happy with this machine.
