Description

Pull the lever up, insert a conductor and push the lever back down – done! Tool-free and lever-actuated, WAGO's 221 Series wire splicing connectors easily, quickly and safely connect solid, stranded and fine-stranded conductors of different cross sections using two-, three-, and five-wire connectors. These connectors are available in two variants which accommodate 24-12 AWG and 20-10 AWG wire. Opening the levers on the 221 Series requires little effort. This means that you can connect conductors quickly – and without tools! While connecting the conductor, recessed handles on the sides ensure an easy, secure grip on the connector. For peace of mind, you can test the voltage from either side of the connector even when installed – one test point is in the conductor entry direction and the other is on the opposite side. This accessibility provides extremely convenient testing conditions, for a wide range of applications. In addition, mounting carriers are available for every 221 Series splicing connector. Each variant can be mounted vertically or horizontally. Simply secure the carrier by snapping it onto the DIN-rail, or with screws on smooth surfaces. Flexible mounting clamps simplify both connector insertion and removal. Conductors can be conveniently connected and removed before or after inserting a connector into the carrier. One test slot is always accessible to ensure compliance with VDE standards.

    • I will never use wire nuts again!!!
I love these things. "Say goodbye to wire nuts because these WAGO Lever-Nuts® Inline Splicing Connectors have revolutionized my electrical projects". Recently, I had to replace the main fuse panel in my very old house. The original panel was small, which meant the wires couldn't reach the new box. This is where the traditional wire nuts failed me. Attempting to extend the wires using wire nuts proved to be a futile endeavor. The wires were all concentrated in the same location at the top of the new box, making it nearly impossible to achieve a proper connection. However, these connectors came to the rescue. With the WAGO Lever-Nuts® Inline Splicing Connectors, I was able to cut the wires to the precise length needed. This resulted in a remarkably clean and tidy replacement of the wired panel. The connectors securely and efficiently joined the wires together, providing a reliable and professional-looking connection. These are 100% better than wire nuts. easier to use and, more beginner friendly. If you install these correctly they are generally maintenance free, 5/5 will buy again

    • WAGO Lever-Nuts save time.
I use these lever nuts for all kinds of wiring projects. They are compatible with very broad range of wire gauge, and easily connect stranded to solid wire. Wire nuts do not connect dissimilar gauges very well, the skinny wire always gets beat up in a wire-nut. Lever-nuts release the wire in near perfect condition permitting rapid re-configuration of the circuit w/o having to re-dress the strands. Lever-nuts are very easy to use, create a neater looking junction, and approved for use in construction. ... show more

    • Quick alternative if you don't mind spending the money
So these are more expensive to the alternative wire nuts, but they allow you to do the job faster. You don't need to strip as much of the wire (you only need a bit of the exposed tip), and you don't need to wrap it off with electrical tape. I mainly bought these because I have canless recessed lights that require me to change the whole set of lights once every two years, which means I can easily just unclip the tips of the wires at the connection points and change out the whole set of lights instead of unwrapping, untwisting, then rewrapping, and retwisting the connection points.... just a simple flip and swap... it also means I don't need to climb the ladder with the extra pair of scissors and tape which is pretty awesome. The quality of the product is great, as long as it's a connection point you need to rewire then these are totally worth the price. If your solution requires you to just tie two wires together and never touch them again in your lifetime then I think the cheaper wire nuts would be worth the extra hassle. ... show more

So easy to use. Strip both ends of wire, flip up the tabs, insert, and click the tabs closed. Wow. So much better than push in crimpers or wire nuts. For a DrB DIY person like me, the clips are great. And there is a bunch of them in the container for the best price I could find online. These clips helped me gain space to insert them into a slim under counter LED light. Good product. ... show more
