This is a gorgeous ceiling fan, from the blade color to its futuristic minimalist design. At my age, I am allowed to fawn over furniture, fixtures, and appliances - and this deserves a little fawning. It is very sleek looking. I love the blade angle, which gives it a very interesting, modern appearance, without going over the top and causing me to re-think redecorating my whole house. And, this is a rather large fan. We are still have some, (ahem) "debate" over where it should be hung. Since it is a larger size, I would like it in the living room, as the fan in there looks small in its space and this would look much more balanced with its size. Since it can be used outdoors, my husband wants it on our back porch, since the blades on the fan out there are beginning to sag a little. I then countered it should go in our bedroom then, because of the EXCELLENT LED light fixture (with blue light protection!) AND THE REMOTE. YES, A REMOTE! All of this would be a waste on the back porch we never sit on. I think he doesn't want to climb that high on a ladder for it to be in the living room or bedroom, and the porch ceiling is MUCH LOWER...but I digress... ... but I'm already making plans for a handyman to hang this. I may have to flip a coin for bedroom or living room, but I suspect the bedroom will win due to the sheer convenience of being able to turn the light off or adjust the fan speed without getting out of bed. Build quality looks and feels like excellent quality. The assembly and hanging hardware/method are different than what I've experienced with past fans. I will likely update this review after this gets installed. Excited! For this size, quality, and high-end look, this is a great value. ... show more

I bought this ceiling fan for our living room, and it made the space feel cooler and more finished right away. The fifty two inch size is perfect for the room, and the black and gold design looks stylish without feeling too flashy. My husband likes the remote because we can adjust the six speeds, light brightness, and timer without getting up.
