I've had this item for 5 years, 9 months and counting. I'm completely satisfied. It's been in constant use and still works perfectly well. I actually bought one in black for home use and one in brown for the office. Upon retirement I brought the work one home and put it in the living room. I love the one-touch feature for power, whereas my previous Mr. Coffee model had a manual switch and no auto-shutoff. The three temperature settings are fantastic, and I use all three of them. The highest setting is hot enough to warm a cold cup of coffee. The automatic shut-off feature was ideal for work, and although used less at home it's still a nice safety feature. Every once in a while, you run across a product that exactly matches your needs and expectation. I consider this a spectacular item at a fair price.

Gave this as a gift for my mother and she loves it. She eas constantly forgets to drink her coffee and would get distracted and just leave it and it gets cold. Then she would have to microwave it multiple times. With this she just sets it on and it keeps is warm. It will eventually turn off if left on for a long time. It does have a cord so it has to be plugged in

Edit: 2 years later. I’ve had this cup warmer for almost 2 years and it still works like the day I got it. I’m going to keep the 4 star rating that I gave it because, like I said in my original review, it requires me to keep a mug sock and napkin on my coffee cup to keep it piping hot but overall the warmer is great and when this one dies I will buy the same one again. I use it every day and so far it’s lasted 2 years and is still working as new. Original review: I like my coffee HOT and this cup warmer does a good job of keeping the coffee from getting cold and preventing me from having to get up and microwave it. It is very sturdy and well made and I like that it has the three heat settings though I almost never use anything but the high setting. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that with 3 heat settings I expected the high setting to be hotter. If you are getting to the bottom of the cup of coffee, 1/4 cup for instance, it will keep that coffee hot, not warm. But if you have a full cup it will not keep your drink piping hot but rather warm to slightly hot. As you can see in my picture, I put a wool cup cozy on my cup and I always put a napkin or paper towel on top of my cup to prevent heat from escaping the top. With those additions this warmer keeps my coffee at the hot temperature that I like to drink it at. Though I would have liked the hot setting to be a little hotter, this warmer is still great and probably one of the best on the market.

I'm going to skip the part of how nice this item is to have. There are more than enough reviews that attest to that. This device will do its job, and do it very well. Just keep the following things in mind: 1. This is NOT a hot plate. If your coffee is cold when you use this, it will be lukewarm at best. It simply helps to maintain the beverage's temperature. BIG difference. 2. Watch out for those Buttons - They are 'touch-enabled,' so if you are not careful, you may graze your fingers over it and inadvertently either turn it on or turn it off. The former is the bigger problem because there IS NO AUTOMATIC SHUTOFF. You don't want to leave it unattended and left on. 3. No Beeps - Despite other reviews, mine does not beep when you touch any buttons, so I don't know if the later ones had this beeper thing removed. In any case, I don't have them. 4. IF YOU USE CREAM IN YOUR COFFEE - By all means, by a set of those stupid-looking, but absolutely essential rubber coffee mug covers [they look like umbrella tops]. If you don't and leave your cup unattended on the warmer, the cream will congeal and the coffee and mug will be gross in no time flat. Those covers keep the moisture in, as well as assist in keeping the coffee warm. You'll get some condensation drips each time you remove them, but a small price to pay. 5. I find it better to use the highest setting when the cup is full, and then work your way down as you consume your beverage. Else, you will go from a nice warm cup of coffee to a scalding one in no time. Hope all this helps. Buy this - you won't be disappointed.

It was really good in many aspects: Chord length, safety timer, heat up speed, but it does not last long. The connection between the heater and cord is very weak and results in having to clip or weigh down or whatever to the cord to get it to actually heat up. It quickly becomes way more hassle than it's worth.
