Precision drill holes allow for maximum rotor cooling. This keeps your brakes temperatures down during extreme operating conditions.     • Durability questionable -- Failed under 3 months less then 3000 miles.
Untold number of brake jobs in my life I haven't encounter anything quite as bad as I have with this particular setup. Maybe it was just bad luck... It does happen. I finally got tired of the warped factory rotor caused purely by myself. Never leave traction control on when your car is in 3 feet of snow. Roasted the rotors within minutes of the car digging it's self out which it did just fine. Subbie in the snow :-) What can I say these look decent not a fan of slotted and drilled but they are much cheaper then some of the others and has a well known name and good reviews by tons of people. I do not track the car and have short drives most times. After about 8 days I started getting some rather odd sounds from the passenger side wheel under braking. Clicking sound like a card in a bike spoke. Normally that's the pads not seating correctly and they jump around or it could be the pins are sticking. Order a new set of pins and lube toss them in double check the pads fitment. They are perfect starting to question myself what did I screw up on the install. This is a normal jobs no different then the dozens before. Maybe it's a different side. Had to get a second set of eyes to check everything out it all came back clear. No noticeable faults, nothing. Went another 2 days maybe it's the wheel bearing going out swapped that and nope sound stays the same. Pull everything back off what do I find the inside pad after 10 days had cracked and a chunk of it was missing! Well that's a first for me. They have already been used so I can't return them. Thankfully I had a spare set laying around. Tossed the spares in and low and behold no noise what so ever. The amount of bite took some getting use to. It's a fair bit more then then the stock pads and you will notice when traction control kicks in. Keep an eye on these check every oil change when your below the car. UPDATE: After a few more weeks had 3 more pads fail. 2 shims came unglued this was with proper lubrication and no weather related events. We get less then 2 inch of rain and no snow very few days below 40F. 1 pad left me stuck in the garage until I could swap out the pads. Shim was loss and there was chunks of materiel missing. I really should have taken pictures. Simply put don't get these ever. I have just gotten a bad batch but that is unheard of with the amount of testing that these have to pass. To anyone with a WRX these are not equal to OEM they are far below standards and a very costly mistake. ... show more

Well, these got put to the test today. I installed them about 2 to 3 weeks ago. As simple as any other brake job. While driving a deer materialized out of thin air. I slammed down and stopped faster than I thought I would and missed the deer by inches. My old brakes, I definitely would have hit it

Upgraded daily brakes. Look great. Aggressive look. I hope the zinc plating holds up to the northern winters(salt). They really bite compared to the stock. Isn't entirely necessary unless you do a fair amount of spirited driving. We'll see how they hold up long term. Came with all the necessary hardware including brake grease. Broke in according to the instructions and it transferred a proper amount of material to the rotors. Edit. Still work excellent after 1000 miles. Great for autocross.     • Awesome brakes for 2016 WRX
I got there for my 2016 WRX and they went on without major issues. The metal clips that this kit comes with wouldn't snap in so I ended up reusing the factory clips which isn't a big deal. Other than that these are a great alternative to the factory brakes. Subaru wanted $500 for the same kit. These stop just as well if not better than factory and look way nicer mounted on the car. ... show more
