Get ready for a bit of a learning curve but it's worth it. If you follow the getting started video exactly, what seems at first complicated -- you'll get used to it fast. There's a calibration process at the beginning and follow that. It sets you up for exactly the right grind with your beans. It took me into day two to feel convinced how exactly to make a cappuccino on this machine. So this morning (day 3) I flounced on out to the kitchen, chose a tap cup in case the foam went wild (it didn't but better safe) and easily make one of the best cappuccinos I've ever had anywhere. That first sip was such a relief because the beginning process seemed awfully -- not exactly complicated -- but busy. The machine calibrated the grind to 6 and if I stick these beans, it won't need to recalibrate. But if you change beans, no problem -- it will re-calibrate and tell you what number to set the grind at. (Even just typing this it seems more complicated than it actually is.) But it weighs your beans in the hopper and comes up with a number to set the grind. Started at 18 and ended up at 6. And it's right on the nose for just the right taste for me. Another great thing is for something with quite a few parts, the cleanup is fast and easy -- really crazy-easy. I love at least one and often two cappuccinos a day. This is by far the best I can imagine not only at home but it beats the heck out of many purchased not at home. I'm not going to quit going to coffee shops -- it's sort of a social life. But I'm easily done with the hit and miss of Starbucks despite the very nice baristas (sorry gang.) I hit a lucky day to shop for this -- one of the Prime BIG DEAL days -- there were only two of those days. And got this machine of $281. THAT really was a big deal. But I would have bought it at full price due to a friend's recommendation and not looked back. You could pay a lot more. You could pay a lot less. But this is a great coffee maker -- at least for cappuccino. And I'm sure for whatever else you enjoy. ... show more

Full disclosure, I've only had it for a week, however so far I am very impressed. You select what you want for coffee or espresso and it tells you how to set the grind. The automatic grinder is actually pretty quiet compared to some I've had in the past. I love that I have so many options, and for drip coffee, you have 6 to 16 ounces to select from, so it will fill a large travel mug or carafe. There is no guess work in the amount of coffee needed. You set what you want and it grinds the perfect amount. I recommend watching the short getting-started video. A QR code is provided that gives you step-by-step instructions on how to set it up, which is very easy. Finally, don't watch the drip, watch the indicator lights. During brewing, it does pause here and there. It obviously is a little more time to brew with this vs. popping in a pod, and there is clean up, but that is all very easy...and the coffee is worth it! I looked at the more expensive one, but for the options I wanted, this one looked like it would do the trick, and so I went with it and saved some money. I am very pleased so far. ... show more

Hands down best purchase I’ve made this year. The coffee makers sleek design includes storage for the machines peripherals. Barista Assist takes all the thinking out of selecting the perfect grind size for your coffee beans. The coffee machine itself is so much quieter than machines I’ve owned in the past. The Ninja Luxe Cafe practically cleans itself after each use. The quality of coffee will largely depend upon what beans you choose to run through the machine. We are new to coffee makers and were used to kcups for years (never again after using this machine!) we wanted to start making lattes like we get at a coffee shop. So after a lot of research decided on this machine. Oh my! What a great decision!!! So easy to use and one of the best lattes we have ever had!!! I made homemade creamer too so added a little of that to the latte and a sprinkle of cinammon. The machine is so easy to use and to clean up after. A lot of fun to make! We purchased this in September and have been using it daily ever since and we absolutely love it. We replaced a K Brew + Chill (around $200) that had multiple issues within the first couple of months. I was hesitant to spend more than double the price after that experience, but after watching YouTube reviews and reading online feedback, we decided to go for it. This has turned out to be hands down the best coffee maker we’ve ever had. The functionality is fantastic and being able to choose between different drink options keeps things interesting without the complexity of owning multiple machines. It even tells you exactly how to set the grind and strength for your beans, so there’s no guesswork. Another big plus is that I've noticed Ninja sells replacement parts individually, which makes it easy to replace or repair anything if needed instead of having to buy a whole new machine. It’s a small thing, but it really adds to the overall convenience and value. Since getting it, our coffee quality at home has been so good that even on weekends, we make our drinks before running errands instead of stopping at a coffee shop.
