My wife is much more mobile after using hers for a couple of months. The machine does have a manual mode if and when you choose to exercise your leg muscles some. There are a number of programs so you can find one that matches what your legs will tolerate. This particular model has some nice features. The foot pads are relatively flat without big round knobs to irritate the ball of your foot. Great! Perfect! I am 70yrs. old and dealing with different ailments and condemned to sit much of the time and this machine really does help with movement and exercise. Not necessary, but if you have floors other than carpet, you might want to get a non skid shower mat or something of the sort because the machine will move a little. It is very quiet. It automatically stops at 30 minutes but can be restarted immediately. Different speeds and different modes. Been having it over a month and been pedaling two or more hours everyday with no problems whatsoever. If you’re thinking about it go for it. Well worth the money, you’ll see. ... show more
