Description

The VH410 drinking water system has been designed and tested to ensure quality drinking water is at everyone’s finger tips. This UV disinfection system replaces the Sterilight S12Q-PA and SC-320 systems. This system reduces microbial contaminants ranging from protozoan cysts to viruses by using UV light waves to deactivate the DNA of microorganisms, preventing further reproduction and clean safe drinking water. The UV lamp lasts for up to 12 months, depending on use and water quality, and the quartz sleeve should be cleaned every 3 months, making system maintenance a breeze! Installation was easy. I like that the connectors are threaded both inside and outside, so that it accommodates two different hose connection sizes. The unit doesn't leak, and as far as I can tell is doing its job. You won't be able to test the light before putting it in, but I learned that a little bit of the UV light leaks out of the bottom cap, I assume they do this intentionally so you can check if the light is on. You might need to turn the lights off around you to see, but if you see a blue glow coming out of the bottom caps' holes, ta-da, its working. ... show more

Great Product, No leakage and it just works well. Great connection points and our plumber had no issues. Pay attention to the clearance requirements when installing, otherwise, this is amazing! We had water pass through a spin-down filter and then sediment filter before getting to this so the UV light can hit all of the water. Great product! ... show more

What’s not to like if you need this type of filtering add on. Of note, if your water is off overnight be prepared for a short hot blast of water. I was a bit surprised by this even though the manufacturer indicated warm water for extended non-use. It’s hot but not boiling. The bad bugs can’t survive this device. This is probably the best value for the money in a compact, high intensity UV water sterilizer. I have limited vertical working space in my water filtration cabinet. This UV water sterilizer has a very high flow capacity in a short length. Everything about it is quality. The mounting clamps are nice. The product itself is sturdy. Changing the lamp and the quartz sleeve will be easy. The ballast includes a 365 day countdown timer for lamp replacement. The only gripe might be the water inlet and outlet locations. Viqua chose to use side outlets with the inlet and outlet on opposite sides. For some setups, this is ideal, but for my setup, same side outlets would have been ideal. I was able to work around the issue by installing stainless steel street elbows on the inlet and outlet with the elbows pointing away from the mounting wall. What would be nice is if Viqua had put one outlet on each side and then included a cap for the unused outlet. ... show more

Nice little UV light I put this in a system I install that makes lake water safe to bathe in or drink. The water was tested and was cleaner then local water supply. Installation is easy. Be very careful changing the quarts sleeve and have an extra when you do.
