Features

  • Large Capacity: With a 16-gallon fermentation capacity, you can enjoy satisfaction as you please. The widened and enlarged mouth design makes feeding more convenient. The thickened handles make it easy to lift the pot effortlessly. The conical bottom design is conducive to sediment accumulation and fermentation, with yeast slurry valves and beer valves for easy discharge of yeast sludge and bottled beer.
  • Thickened 304 Material: The fermentation barrel is entirely made of stainless steel, with the barrel body, handles, inner lining, clasps, and barrel lid all made of food-grade 304 stainless steel. You can use it with confidence. With a barrel thickness of 0.5mm, it's sturdy, durable, and resistant to deformation. It's not prone to dirt accumulation, making cleaning effortless.
  • Sealed for Freshness: The barrel lid features an embedded silicone sealing ring, providing double-layered sealing protection. The high elasticity clasp ensures a tight seal without gaps, preventing ants and insects from entering. It ensures no leakage even when inverted, and it won't spill during transportation or agitation.
  • Sterile and Breathable: The top of the lid can be fitted with an exhaust pipe, which can be easily installed in seconds. One-way exhaust allows bubbles in the barrel to be released, and injecting a small amount of water prevents backflow, achieving sterile and breathable, oxygen-free fermentation.
  • Temperature Visibility: The home brewing supply comes with a thermometer for easy monitoring of real-time fermentation temperature. The scale is clear, with Celsius/Fahrenheit temperature readings, ranging from 0-40C/32-104F. You can easily ferment beer, spirits, wine, fruit wine, and more with it.

  • Great upgrade from carboy or bucket.
Size: 8 Gal-Fermenter1.0
This is a great fermentation tank. 8 brews in now. It is easy to handle, easy to clean, bottom valve for trub and upper for beer is fantastic, that was my main reason. It seems like the airlock is slow or less but I get better efficiency from this than the bucket or carboy. Excellent, good price.

  • Worked great! Affordable fermenter
Size: 16 Gal-Fermenter2.0
Works great! Easy to put together, easy to read instruction manual included. Brewed my first beer with it and had minimal issues. Had a minor deal with the lid not sealing but that may have been my error as I played with it and finally it sealed properly. Woah the chub jar was glass

  • Worth the price, but maybe not the best choice
Size: 8 Gal-Fermenter1.0
I like my VEVOR fermenter. I don't get to brew as frequently as I'd like, so I haven't gotten as much use out of it as I'd like. That's not the fermenter's fault. I've become a big fan of stainless fermenters: they don't shatter if they're dropped, they can handle hot wort, they block light, and the handles make them so much easier to carry when full. I bought this fermenter about 14 months ago to replace a shattered carboy. I already owned an Anvil stainless fermenter, but the lower price of the VEVOR convinced me to give this one a try. For the price, this fermenter is a good choice. You can buy much better fermenters, but they will cost you significantly more. You won't go wrong buying this fermenter, but there are some issues I have found over the past year. Those issues have convinced me this is a decent choice, but it's not the best choice. At the end of the day, I think the Anvil is a better choice at the current prices. The VEVOR is about $20 (US) less expensive than the Anvil. They have comparable capacity, but the VEVOR feels slightly lighter. It's also slightly taller. The VEVOR feels a bit less sturdy than the Anvil, but it is durable enough for my uses. I think the VEVOR looks better than the Anvil, but that's very subjective. I've used the VEVOR with both chilled and hot wort ("no-chill"), and I've never had a leak. I typically ferment beer for four weeks: there's plenty of opportunity for the fermenter to leak, but I haven't seen it happen once. I like the stamped volume measurements: it's really helpful with brewhouse efficiency calculations. It would be nice, though, if they went lower than four gallons. The opening in the lid is rough around the edges: not so bad I've cut myself, but rough. I could probably clean it up with sandpaper. I haven't had any trouble with the stopper losing pressure or coming out, so it works just fine. The biggest issue I've had with the VEVOR fermenter is the silicone ring around the lid. I haven't figured out the pattern yet – I haven't been able to determine what causes it – but twice when I've gone to close the fermenter on fresh wort, the silicone ring has fallen out of the lid. The second time it didn't come all the way out, and I was able to push it back into place and go on as usual. But the first time... the first time the silicone came loose, it came all the way out. I tried at least five times to get it to stay in place long enough to close the fermenter, and it just refused. It kept landing on the floor. I eventually just closed up the fermenter without the silicone, steel on steel. Of course the lid clamps don't fit right without the silicone, so I shimmed them with several layers of card stock to increase the tension. The beer turned out just fine, but the airlock didn't bubble at all, indicating pressure was escaping somewhere else. That was more than a little annoying. I expect a bit of silicone caulk would be enough to hold it in place, and I'll likely try the next time it comes loose. The bottom valve is great for cleaning the fermenter, but I haven't been able to capture yeast from it: the opening is too small, or the valve is too small, or the angle is too sharp. I haven't given up yet, but I'm not optimistic I'll ever be able to get it to work. Again, not a deal-breaker, and that bottom valve is very helpful for cleaning, storing, and santizing the fermenter... but it would have be better if I could use it to capture yeast too. The upper valve works fine for racking beer, but the Anvil's racking system is better. I made an oatmeal stout that produced a lot of goo, and it actually clogged up both drains. That time I ended up siphoning out the beer with a racking cane. That was annoying, but I've only had it happen once. However, because there's no dip tube inside the fermenter, I generally have to tip the whole thing when filling kegs: the drain just draws from too high up the side, and leaves usable beer behind. The legs feel a bit flimsy, but I've had no trouble with them. The rubber/plastic/silicone feet on the legs do have a tendency to come loose, but that's not a big deal to me: I haven't lost them, and the legs haven't scratched up floors or counters. I suppose a dab of glue would fix that too. The big question is how the price difference between the VEVOR and the Anvil affects the choice between them. I have one of each, and I like them both. I think the Anvil is a slightly higher-quality product. It has fewer features, but they're well thought-out. If I could get the lower valve to work for harvesting yeast, I'd say the VEVOR is the better choice, but as it currently stands, I think the Anvil is worth the extra $20 or so. It wouldn't be worth an extra $50, in my opinion. ... show more

  • Spectacular Conical fermenter
Size: 8 Gal-Fermenter1.0
This fermentor is spectacular. I use it for winemaking, and a friend of mine uses one for beer brewing. The thermometer works nicely, both valves are tight and do not leak at all. my only wish (and not enough to even think of removing a star) is that I wish the rubber feet had a screw or a fasterer of some type to hold them in place on the legs. If you slide it all, one of the 3 rubber foot guards will come off, sometimes more. Just a slight irritation is all (I fixed it with a dot of hot glue). ... show more

  • Fermenting with curiosity. Fermenting with curiosity.
Size: 16 Gal-Fermenter1.0
This was my first time making wine. This little fermenter made the job very nice. Plenty of space, easy to unbox, easy to setup, easy to fill, easy to drain. The thermometer made it easy to track temperature during fermentation. The spigot allowed the free run wine to drain out with no lees. Easy to remove the pomace. And cleaning was a breeze. This is the fermenter to buy. ... show more
