I wish there was a way to just keep this on always instead of only 12 hours at a time. But that’s a minor inconvenience for something that works well- I think the glass dome is a must, though. Doubtful on its effectiveness without it.

I love this sourdough starter warmer! I’d been nursing my brand new starter for about two weeks and Google kept telling me my room temperature may be too cold resulting in no activity in the starter. On a whim, I bought this warmer and sure enough, within 4 hours my starter was active and growing. Giving this product only four stars because the temperature gauge is wrong. I tested the surface with my normal thermometer and it’s about 4 degrees cooler than the built in thermometer actually reads (I.e. reads as 83 but is actually 79). Other than that no complaints! ... show more
