  • Great quality fits my bunghole perfect
Very high quality product nice and large size air locks. High quality bungholes too . The bungholes are perfect for the size of the airlock and they would adapt from anything to a jar up to a large milk jug or even a barrel. Perfect quality and high quality.

  • Reliable airlocks for small home wine batches
These worked great during a recent 5 gallon wine fermentation. The bungs sealed tightly in my glass carboy and I didn’t notice any leaks or pressure issues. The twin bubble design made it easy to keep an eye on fermentation activity, especially during the first few days. They also cleaned up easily afterward which is always a plus with brewing equipment. Simple product, but dependable. ... show more

  • Quality bubblers!
Great for homemade wine making. I used these without the stopper on my primary fermenter and with the stopper on my secondary glass carboy. They are well made and work very well. I did notice the stoppers liked to slip up out of the neck of the glass carboy a little so I had to tie them down into the neck but this may be unrelated to the stopper itself. ... show more

  • My favorite… mostly
The airlock valves are awesome (unless they arrive broken) but the stoppers are completely worthless.

  • Great price! Work well, and fun to watch! Tip to keep them from popping out
I bought these as backup airlocks and spares. They work GREAT, but if your ferment is going really strong, they will still pop out (like all the other stoppers - gas from fermentation will steadily push this out). wine never gets in the airlocks, so the only thing you have to clean is the water you put in the airlock itself. Not sure how any part of it would even get dirty to need cleaning, the rubber stopper part is the only part that can come in contact with the wine, so you just pop out the airlock, rinse out the bottom, and sterilize the stopper normally. For the pop up problem, here's my solution. This works! I tied a ziplock tie around the neck, just under the protruding glass ring at the top of the bottle. Just tight enough to not slide back over the top, but with a small gap where the ziplock closed. Then used a long bread tie, folded in half, and pushed both halves into the small opening in the zip tie. Holding one end of the bread tie, I slid the other end of the bread tie around to the opposite side of the rubber stopper. Pushed the rubber stopper down tight where I wanted it to go, and pulled the bread tie tight on both ends. Then bent both sides of the bread tie up, around the zip tie, on either side of the bottle. I didn't need to twist the breadties, just bending the bread tie ends up was enough to hold the rubber stopper from popping back out, you're only stopping bubbles after all, so it was a very small amount of continuous pressure forcing the rubber stopper back out. Hope this helps! ... show more

  • Airlock works good
I have 2 gallon carboy used to make small mead batches, but the plastic airlocks cracked, I went ahead and ordered this ones and cant be happier, they work good my only complaint is that if I fill my carboy too high the foaming from fermentation will get in the airlock making it difficult to clean up. These are a little taller than the old ones but they are good value ... show more

  • Delicate, but can get the job done.
I purchased these to use with my 1-gallon glass jugs (apple cider vinegar jugs). Unfortunately, the bung did not fit in my tiny hole. However, that is my fault. I truly didn't know and just hoped for the best! My rating does not reflect that as that is in no way the manufacturers fault. My rating is based off the quality. They are incredibly thin plastic - 1 individual piece arrived broken out of the 8 pieces I bought. Putting them into the bung hole and removing them from the bung hole truly makes me worry I will simply snap it off. I also had a problem of getting the water in the right location for the product to work properly. Mind you, there are no directions included. I tried adding the water before and also after inserting it into the bung hole. Before and after inserting it into the jar opening. No matter what method I used, the pressure of inserting it (and closing the path for air to move freely) would push or pull the water one way or another and it simply would not settle where it was supposed to be. On top of that, cleaning these is mildly annoying - not too bad though. However, since these bungs did not fit my jars, I ordered a different size (with success!) and also different 3-piece airlocks. The other airlocks were much more durable feeling and the bungs fit my jars perfectly. I did use one single 2-piece airlock with the newer bungs (interchangeable) just to thoroughly test it. I still didn't like the 2-piece airlocks. I would personally recommend getting either a more durable 2-piece airlock, or simply a 3 piece airlock. I would choose a 3-piece airlock any day over a 2 piece airlock. Overall, pretty decent for the price. I wouldn't recommend to others, but that's personal preference - not because it's a bad product. I know many people have an easy time with 2-piece airlocks. I just happen to find 3-piece airlocks far easier to deal with. ... show more
