I really like this gallon jar! Best features: 1. Measurement bars: This gallon jar has measurement bars in the glass in both standard (ounces) and metric (milliliters) scales. 2. Seals and Grommets: The lid fits well and has a silicone rim seal and a grommet. 3. Airlocks: The 3-piece airlocks fit perfectly. 3. Extras: Includes an extra seal, grommet, and airlock. 4. Grommet Closure: The grommet has a closure! So, you can shake the jar (with no airlock) with liquid in it with no leakage. I love this! Not so great: 1. The jar does not take a standard sized lid – so replacing it is not an option. (These lids are NOT available on Amazon.) Don’t lose or break the lid! 2. The included airlocks are a softer plastic than airlocks usually are. (This may make it easier for them to scratch and harbor bacteria.) Overall – great! ! I would buy it again!

I am a long time brewer. The extra gasket and bubbler are just things you really should have. I'm on my second fermentation of hot peppers. Having brewed for decades, I couldn't get going without a packet of starter. I bought a few packets of yogurt lacto starter and my fermentation was over in a few days.

This product is amazing and I really like the tag with it. The only issue I have is that one of the air locks is missing 2 pieces (the top and the float) which makes it not usuable. The only support for the item was to return the whole thing and I still have one working air lock so to me it isn't worth the hassle of shipping it back.

I am using it for mead making and it is a Cadillac of jars! All the bells and whistles, silicone seal, twin bubblers, extra gasket, and exterior measuring marks. I am so very glad that I made this purchase instead of getting the cheaper varieties because they lack this quality! Worth every penny.

This one gallon fermentation jar works great for winemaking. I like the three piece airlocks as they are easy to clean. Having a clear glass jar definitely helps to observe the fermentation. The jar is very solid and the lid seal is made with silicone. The kit even includes spare lid seal, airlock, and a little sign to label what is currently in fermentation. I like this so much I will order another for kimchi making. Great product!
