We seldom get significant snow in southern Illinois, so my gas powered snowblower doesn't get run often enough for it to start quickly. I bought this electric snowblower so I could get something running quickly if needed. The instruction manual was poor, showing errors in the assembly, but the machine went together fairly quickly (in 10 degree weather). I used it to remove 9" of snow in a 150' driveway with no problems in 10 to 15 degree weather. The snowblower worked well. The "snow outlet" does not stay put, but has to be repositioned often. The "snow outlet" is the flap that directs the vertical direction of snow. Oddities in the instruction manual include referring to washers as "gaskets". The troubleshooting table refers to rubber plates - which do NOT exist on this model. It also refers to replacing a drive belt without identifying the belt, nor showing how to replace it. The scraper blade is also referred to as a replaceable part - but seems to be unavailable from anyone. Basically, the machine works but seems to be intended to be thrown away if any part fails - because there seems to be no way to acquire repair parts.

First, the cons for me. The light seems a bit weak and I don't like safety switches. It worked fine, I just don't like them. I have used it twice now on heavy wet snow with out issue. even the shoot did not clog... It's light weight, easy to push and nothing broke or cracked. Also, being only 15 amps, my small generator can power it if the lights go out.

The only challenge at the beginning was the assembly. As a Lady without many tools, tightening the screws properly was a bit frustrating. But once everything was set up tightly, the performance was excellent. My neighbors even came outside to look at it, and many of them decided to buy one too after seeing how well it worked. Overall, great job to the manufacturer, and thanks to Amazon for providing such good machinery at a good price.

Cheaply put together and where you have to screw the handle bars onto the metal part that attaches the bars to the machine you can’t screw the screws in there’s no room to use a regular screw driver or power screw driver and the cheap screws are just that so badly cheap .. assembling this isn’t easy cuz the screws aren’t labeled for which size they are and so it took forever to put this together and I only managed to get one screw all the way through to hold the handle bars to the machine the rest of the screws are part of the way in and could break at any moment , I can’t take the last 3 screws out and try again because they are stripped and I’m so mad that I spent money on this machine it’s a cheap piece of garbage and they obviously didn’t put this together cuz if they did they would know that where they put the screw holes compared to the metal bar that goes across for the wheels is blocking the holes so it makes it a horrible problem to get the screws in properly before they strip and mess everything up .. I’m Not Happy at all

Surprisingly strong Got this snowblower to save money rather than continue to pay our neighbor. Paid for itself in 3 snow falls. I didn't assemble so can't speak to is difficulty but the instructions were very clear and nothing was missing. Very simple to operate: press button and hold down lever. Let go of lever and it turns off. It pushes a substantial amount of snow, even heavy snow. You can even push it into a snow bank and it will dig in. If the snow is higher than the opening you just have to do narrower passes and it works fine. Very easy to turn the chute. The scraper really gets down to the driveway and cleans off a lot of the compressed snow but if it's turned to ice or really compact, it can't do that. The only negatives are the cord and the chute. I let go of the lever when rolling over the cord just to be sure I don't destroy it and of course the cord always finds a way to be in the way. The chute has a tendency to lift up as you go causing the snow to yeet up in the air and then spraying you and blowing back. You have to keep cranking it down. Overall, a great buy. Not sure about the longevity, but it's already paid for itself. I don't have to worry about running out of gas or charge. Worth it.

Machine is powerful and works great. Unfortunately, if you push it too hard it can seize up. Its very powerful and unlike a battery operated unit, it never runs out of energy. However, the unit should be equipped with an overload reset switch to avoid overworking and overheating the unit. Mine seized up- not the motor- but the auger. Very strange. I would consider buying it again if they installed an overload switch. Durability was the main issue.
