This is a great bookcase. Substantial and holds quite a bit. I bought it for my retail store, it's perfect in front of my sales desk. However, I gotta say; if I were using it at home, I would leave the back pieces off and let the wall paint color show through. It is and interesting design.

Easy enough to put together, the price does not match the value. It's much more narrow than it appears in the picture. Some of the pieces paint chips that Will need to be touched up. Way overpriced for what it is. This is more second rate than IKEA. Probably could have spent the same at Target with much better results. ... show more

To start with, this arrived earlier than expected and that was a great surprise. I had no issues putting this together. Everything lined up and instructions were fine. I did a couple things different such as using gorilla wood glue for every piece assembled. I also did not use the cardboard backing. I prefer to use a wood panel.
