The plucker came in a wood crate, within an undamaged cardboard box. So when I opened it I was quite surprised when I saw it was all dented. There were screws just sitting on the bottom of the box, as if they fell out. The steel is much thinner than I expected. You have to wear gloves when assembling, as the edges are very sharp, and I nicked myself a few times. Along with that, the holes for the casters don’t align, no matter how I try to assemble it. So two wheels aren’t completely secure and it’s a heavy item to move with unsecured wheels. For the price of this machine (expensive) I was hoping for better quality. So far I am not happy with it and can only hope for it to work properly when I have to add the chickens.

I have processed hundreds of chickens and have used different pluckers in the past. This is a very cheaply built, Chinese plucker, even by Vevor standards. The finish is not real stainless steel. It appears to be a metallic vinyl that is starting to peel in a few spots. The motor appears to have enough power and gets the job done. It does not seem to be as efficient at plucking feathers as other versions I have used...always leaving a few feathers to be hand plucked even after running the plucker for an extended amount of time. I just hope that it lasts.

This plucker has been a fantastic addition to our farm. We’ve used it on turkeys and have been very impressed with the results. It saves a tremendous amount of time compared to hand plucking and does a great job removing feathers quickly and efficiently. The machine feels sturdy, performs consistently, and has made processing days much easier. Excellent value for the money and well worth the investment.

This plucker is great for small ops, does 1 -2 x 5-6# chickens in about 45-60 seconds literally. The only downside are: we didn't get it sooner, it was a little cosmetically bent, and it doesn't come with some sort of feather catching tray, but we just used a basket shelf out of an old fridge we threw out!

This thing works really good. I processed 24 birds averaged 6 lbs each. It only clogged once. It's well worth the money.
