We were able to clear our HVAC drain instead of installing a pump. The auto feed one means is automatically pushes out the snake and pulls it back in as you crank the wheel. With the manual one, you’d have to pull out and push the metal snake back in with one hand. We really liked being able to use the drill to feed it in and even with the auto feed, it took four hands due to the awkward angle at which we had to access the pipes. It seems like it will come in handy again for a toilet or sink. Nobody wants to have to do this job but when you're "backed-up" it certainly is nice to have this conveniently near by. I sent the snake down my drain to the full 25 feet three times but it did not do the trick. I bent the tip a little on the fourth try to see if I could get the snake to scrape more of the sides of the drain pipe and it worked. The fourth time did the trick and my drain is free and clear. My cousin spent $165 to get his drain cleared. I spent less than $25 and got the same results. Thank you for a good product. ... show more

Easy to use, worked great. Did the job in no time and fixed what the $220 waste of money plumber didn't do. Hadvto take sll the pipes out from under the kitchen sink but figured out what the "plumber" didn't do right, cleaned it out and got the pipes put together as they should have been. Bathtub I had to go down 3 or 4 times which was actually pretty easy and yippy, got all the hair and crud pulled out and did my bsthroom sink with same tool. I don't really recommend this plumbing drill. It cost too much money and it's not very sturdy. I use it for the first time and it worked a little, but the drill stopped turning. For me, I don't like it and it is a waste of money.
