Instructions could use some revision particularly with part 17, which is actually 8 parts that are not clearly identified or represented well in the instructions. Other than that, assembly went well - had all the parts and no damage. Time consuming assembly- about an hour. The hardware that came with the desk is a different shade of gold than the frame which is a little disappointing. The frame is more of a muted matt gold while the hardware is a satin rose gold & does not match. I’ve emailed customer service - hoping they might have replacements they can send. The bottoms of the drawers are kind of thin and flimsy but as long as you aren’t putting weights in there or pushing down on them should hold up fine. I found this desk easy to assemble if you're familiar with assembling any type of furniture. I put it together myself and it took less than 2 hours. The desk looks and works great! I love it!!!! Its a good desk, the only thing is one of the drawers keeps getting randomly stuck when I try to pull it out- I most likely put a screw in that was too loose and is sticking out- or its just faulty parts. I worried it would be damaged in shipping as I saw a corner of the box broken open. It was packaged protected styrofoam, so NOT damaged!! Hubby put together w/his power tools (although it comes w/its own tools). Instead of a 40-minute construction time, it took under 2 hours, but it went together 'easily' w/many screws. If you have ever built an ikea piece of furniture, this assembles the same way. The directions were simple and everything was clearly labeled (making it actually easier than ikea). Reading through the reviews before buying had me a not worried but I'm assuming those commenters are not used to building boxed furniture. My desk came out beautifully and was just what I wanted.
