This thing is a piece of junk, it is very hard to install, and is very loud and a pure nuisance. What happened was the delivery came the day before we left on our 10 hour car drive to the beach, and it took every bit of 2 hours to get it attached. When we left, the whole way it flapped against the top of the car and made a lot of ruckus which was very disturbing. Then when we were to leave, on our way home we suddenly heard the noise stop, which we knew something was not right. We stopped the car and checked it out and noticed THE ENTIRE BAG WAS TEARING OPEN! All of our luggage was half way out and could have fallen out and hit another car. The manufacturer should feel very lucky that it didn’t because if it did hit another car, we would of sued for the damage. Their product is a rip off and will definitely be returning to Amazon.

Start off by saying what I actually like but one major flaw so please take the time to read my full review Pros: -Great thick PVC rubber to keep stuff in there dry secure -Actually pretty spacious compared to other cargo bags, we fit a lot! -Thick Heavy Duty Zipper -Quality Stitching both on bag and strapping keeping it all together Con: That’s right this bag only has one single con and it actually happens to be the most vital part STRAPPING!! It ended up getting frayed when the clip was shut on and CRUSHED. I hear customer service is responsive and helpful I hope it has a good warranty because it still has plenty of FLAWS I looked far and wide for a cargo bag to use on my regular weekly road trips. I found some made by name brands that had a way bigger price tag, until I came across this one when I was looking for something a little more economical. The first time I pulled it out to use it I almost rolled the thing back up and hit RETURN! The straps were a bit of a nightmare and a bit off putting to the product at first. I pulled it out last minute for a road trip and was getting so frustrated at how difficult the straps were was to adjust. For as high quality the bag they should of took the time to create some high quality strapping. These straps are the same ones you would find on a jansport backpack. Thin and not very thick along with plastic clips that you would also find on a backpack or duffel bag. The good thing is there is 8 of them so there is plenty of strapping points to the car and that are also well sewed to the bag that once fastened actually secure the load well. It ain’t going no where! You do have to be careful to make sure the strap lays flat in order to be able to ratchet it down and be sure you free the strap fully from the pointless clip that hold the excess strapping. After figuring all this out, it was much faster to load and the product was actually exceeding my needs. However most people would not have taken the time to figure this out and probably returned the product. I got to use this bag about a dozen times on road trips back and forth from Seattle to Yakima for work. My family travels with me on occasion and this thing is great to keep the inside of the car empty to make the trip enjoyable for a family of 5 in an SUV and still bring all the things we actually need for our 3 kids. I was a happy camper until my child decided to get out of the car while the bag was being loaded and a strap happens to drop in the door jam as he slammed it shut! CRUSH goes the bag clip and to top it off the sharp edges of the broken clip punctured through the bag strap and fraying the strap essentially rendering it USELESS. I wanted to be frustrated with my child but I ended up being more frustrated with the product and how cheap the strapping and the clip was that it broke that easy, only a small amount of force my 4 year could shut a door. It was a real bummer because we ended up having to leave most the stuff for that road trip as the back had to be unloaded before the trip even started! If we are talking about backpack strapping I still think this can be upgraded! I have a Dakine Snowboarding bag that has a thick 1 inch strapping and huge thick plastic clipping to keep it fastened to your waist! I’ve had that thing for seven years and it’s hasn’t frayed or broken the clip! If they were to take that design and apply it to this bag they might only need half the straps and it would be so much more manageable and easier to keep flat because REMEMBER it’s vital it lays flat to be able to ratchet it down! Overall I’m looking for customer service to do right on their end because it is a great product that I still need just minor flaws that SHOULD be covered by the warranty but we will see! Will update after I hear from the seller!

This carrier did not last even half of our trip. By the time we got to our destination, which was less than 1,200 miles, there were multiple tears on the front of the bag. Luckily it did not rain. When you're traveling highway speeds, even a small rock or maybe even a large bug will put a hole in it, and then the air pressure will make the tear worse. We had to tape the holes to make it back home. If the manufacturer simply invested a little more into the product there would be no issues. A quarter inch thick piece of pvc that could be secured to the front would do the trick. And if they designed it so it mounted at an angle it would help with aerodynamics and improve fuel economy. With a flat edge, there was a noticeable increase in fuel consumption. It has been less than 2 months since the purchase, so went to the order to see if I could return it under warranty and there is no option to do so. What a rip off! I will be contacting customer service to see if I can get my money back. Do not buy this!!!

I purchased this Item for the price I have an Escargot which is twice as much. The shape shown on the picture may be achieved if you fill it with paper or bubble rap, put corners are soft and the entire thing is floppy. For the price it's ok I guess but don't expect it to be aerodynamic, most of the cars I saw with them on my way down to Georgia from Boston looked like a pile of dirty cloth. Although the hooks work well the straps are mediocre design hard to take down.

This thing was an absolute beast. We drove from Oklahoma City to Anchorage, the majority of that highway and probably going a little (a lot) over the speed limit. By the very end we needed to patch up a little reps with duct tape, but again… 4000 miles at probably an average of 75 mph. It served us faithfully and really saved our bacon as the interior was filled with houseplants and pets. No additional crossbars needed; we have a Subaru Forester and just wound it tight around the siderails. You may opt to skip the mat in this case (squeaks out the side and slaps the car).

Ordered this for our vacation. Finally used it last week. Was very easy to set up. Fit just right in our VW Tiguan. We are a family of 2 plus our 2 fur babies. It held everything we needed for a 1 week trip and then some. I believe you could easily pack this for a 4 person trip with no problems. Seems very durable. No rips or tears. And it easily packs back into the storage bag it came with. Overall it was a great purchase.
