Very fast and easy to use. Using this to replace a very old Verbatim 500GB drive I've had for years. (wanting to replace it well before it showed signs of crapping out) Small footprint for a ton of space and doesn't require a separate power source (uses USB) is very nice. The only thing I would like is that the USB cord could be at least two or three times as long. It is REALLY short. That's good if you're using this as an external drive for a laptop and don't need/want the extra cordage; but for using it with a desktop (as I do), the cord barely allows me to just put it on top of the machine without stretching the cord. ... show more

I am using this hard drive to backup my security cameras. I had just bought a WesternDigital 2TB, had to send it back. Had to force my computer to recognize it, then it said it wasn't ready. It told me to reformat! You shouldn't have to go thru all this! I know Verbatim has a great name. May have been a little bit more $ but as soon as I got it out of the box I plugged it in and it actually worked! So happy! ... show more

Just as a non encrypted hard drive this works GREAT!!!! This has been a great product but seems not to work well with the software encryption that I have been using... the hard drive keeps getting corrupted. I somehow feel that the encryption is not to blame since it works great on other devices that I have and have had no problems. Please note that I am unsure of what situation is causing the encryption system to fail... but I believe it is inherent in the incompatibility of the hardware/software combination. ... show more

This product is absolutely awsome. The product is exactley as described & performs as stated. This product arrived at my door 7 days after ordering which is great since it had to come to New Zealand. This product does actually fit easily into your pocket(not much bigger than a packet of smoke's,only thinner), so taking it anywhere you want to go is not a problem. Price wise it is an awsome deal & the 7year warranty puts other brands to shame. A longer cable would be nicer. I had to connect directly to a USB port on the computer. It would not boot from a powered USB hub. The size was great. However, I dreaded the clam shell packaging. As super plus is Verbatim's warranty.
