This lock will lock the door, will not unlock the door! If you watch the video on it says to call them if there are any problems. You can call them only to get a recording to leave your name and number, nobody calls back!!! Do not buy.

This is an awesome lock. I'm using one for the front door and one for the back door. I have found that if my fingers are wet, the buttons don't register or if I'm wearing gloves they don't register. Those are minor inconveniences though. Setup was a breeze. Things I love: Easy to setup Looks pretty Multiple unlocking options Things I loved less: Sometimes the buttons don't register if fingers are wet I'm sure you were looking for smart locks and this one was not terrible at all. It is a little strange having yet another app to have them controlled by, but, I will say that this is a great purchase and I am very happy with it. I recommend this electronic lock. ... show more

We have a few of this type on different outer doors on a couple houses and this is a really good one. It is pretty heavy duty and works really well. It was easy to install. I have installed a few now, but they are all mostly the same. Some others are much cheaper, but I have found the cheap ones do not necessarily function properly after a short bit, and they don't feel like a safe alternative. Deadbolts should be heavy duty, and this one is. The key cards are nice to give to relatives that might want a key or for someone who cannot remember a code. Also better for a kid that might lose keys. You can just cut that card off, as opposed to re-keying the lock if an actual key is lost. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The Veise Smart Lock for Front Door is well made, easy to install and the app to set it up is intuitive. I do not like that the more advanced features of the app require a paid subscription, but it does have all of the basic function included and made it easy to setup users and code. The key cards do work well but I had to get it nearly touching the lock to function which really doesn't make it any more useful than the key. Really my primary complaint about the Veise Smart Lock for Front Door is it is completely unreadable in any kind of close to direct light. This lock is on the west side of my home and for a couple of hours in the evening you cannot even tell the lock has come on and there is no way to see the numbers without some odd positioning to provide shade and even then it is not very readable. Overall I am pleased with the lock but wouldhave probably chosen one with a physical number pad had I realized the issue with direct light on the display. ... show more
