Comfortable for a hiking pad. I'm a big man and the wider model is a must. The heat reflective material keeps the mattress warm. Only used during summer months so far. Tip- don't over inflate, adjust the air pressure and you will be more comfortable.

I've tried a handful of different pads searching for something super comfy but light for backpacking, but they were always either not cushy enough to be actually, truly comfortable or were so crinkly and noisy that shifting slightly in my sleep would wake me up. I'm a somewhat light sleeper. This one isn't as light and doesn't pack as small as the BA Insulated SLX I had previously or the Sea to Summit Comfort Light pad, but it is so comfortable that I decided it's worth the weight because I actually get a good night's sleep on it. The slightly stretchy fabric of the top layer makes it feel almost like my bed at home and it's really nice for side sleeping. It's not silent when I move, but it's much quieter than any other pad I've tried. I just took it on a two week backpacking trip on the Colorado Trail in early August and slept like a baby every night (except one night camping above 12,000' where it was a little chilly through the pad with my 20 degree bag, but not miserable). Getting good sleep is definitely worth the tradeoff of the higher weight and volume for me.

Purchased this because how small it packs to replace the big self inflating mat I had. I'm impressed with this sleeping mattress. It's made of durable material. When inflated, it is thick and supports my weight (250 lbs). I like the fact it's a bit wider that other mattresses and the sides are taller to keep me on it. The only thing to improve this is the design of the included inflation bag. The bag itself is rather small and takes forever to inflate the mattress. I ended up getting a battery powered pump to inflate & deflate.

It started leak after 7-8 nights of use. I am a person who take very good care of my gear. I used very thick waxed canvas tarp and so your regular sticks and twigs or pointy rocks will never get the chance to pierce my sleeping pad. Also when I sleep on my sleeping pad, I only wear e.g thermal top and bottom. Again nothing sharp I will be bringing onto my sleeping pad. So how the hell it started to leak. Very night after 6-7 hours, my pad leaked around 1/4 of the air. I was so happy with this sleeping pad and I thought my search for the ultimate sleeping is over. Well, back to square one. Very disappointed and I am not sure I should give it another go.

I was using an egg crate style camping mattress. Needed something more firm and this did not disappoint. The air bag for filling, makes it actually fun chore. Also, instead of lungs/ matress compressor you're using strength to get air in. This results in more pressure. Therefore a sturdier matress. The material used to make the matress is well built and allows thermal temp regulation. Finally, storage bag and repair kit are included with product. So, ready to pack up and go camping.
