Features

  • One defining characteristic of the Saga series is a 10mm cell power honeycomb core that allows us to reduce core thickness variance, increase power, and prevent core deterioration. This significantly increases longevity and enlarges the sweet spot.
  • A multi-layer composite / carbon fiber blended surface helps you generate big power and pop while maintaining comfort, durability, and an exaggerated sweet spot. The surface layers effectively complement the core by utilizing a triple-layered approach.
  • The entire edge guard encased in carbon fiber creates continuous dynamic tension, a more prominent sweet spot, and unparalleled power. This is in addition to our foam inject walls, which create a softer and more controlled impact.

  • Fantastic upgrade from the Prism line
Color: Saga V7 16mm
I moved from a Vatic Prism-Flash after a year, to the Saga V7. I LOVED the Prism, but felt that I needed a paddle with more power to go up against better players as I have advanced. I can't afford a $200+ power paddle, and I'm not consistent enough to move to one, even if I could afford it. I still need better control, but more power. Enter Vatic Pro. IMO, they make the best lower-cost paddles available. The Prism line runs $99, while the Saga is currently at $129. I did quite a bit of research before choosing the Saga V7. This was the only one I felt comfortable with buying because I know and trust the brand. It has consistently great reviews, too. I have future reservations, though, about ordering paddles from Amazon, only because the paddle is *supposed* to weigh 8.2-8.5 oz, yet it is only 8.0 oz. I wonder if a slightly heavier paddle would help with the power I want. When I got my paddle, I went to a court alone and just practiced my serves, mostly. I HATED the paddle for the first 10 minutes and was sure I would return it. But by the time I left, I, at least, was feeling neutral and ready to give it a shot at open play the next morning. Today is my 3rd day of playing with my new paddle and now I LOVE it, just like the Prism. It definitely has a smaller sweet spot that I have to get used to, but it's perfect for my needs now. I get more power with almost every shot, making it possible to return difficult longer shots that would have fallen short with the softer Prism. It's NOT a power paddle, but is the perfect blend of power and control for the level at which I currently play. Over the last several days I have been amazed at the shots I have successfully returned that I may not have before. I've been hitting more long shots (out), but I just need to get more consistent with my technique. Top spin is typical for Vatic Pro. Good but not great. But, I'm still learning to apply top spin to my shots. Accuracy is great if technique is there. Performance is everything I was hoping for. I'm looking forward to continuing to improve my game with the Saga V7. The Prism Flash took me from beginner to advanced. Now, with the Saga, I'm working on all the tweaks to my game to rise through the advanced levels. They say it's easy to reach 3.0 status, but takes a long time to get to 4.0. I'm a 3.5 right now, trying to get better. If you're familiar with Vatic Pro paddles, I think you will love the Saga line. It's a great, well-built, economical choice of paddle with good control and slightly better power. ... show more

  • Best paddle so far
Color: Saga Bloom 16mm
Had the Vatic Prism and wanted something with a bit more pop. Glad I got this one. It’s been amazing so far and has really unproved my game. Added pop with control still. You can’t beat the quality at this price point. Plays well above its price point.

  • Great racquet for the money and it will help improve your game.
Color: Saga Flash 16mm
Fantastic Pickleball racquet. My game was taken to a new level. It takes a few hours to get used to it. Don't be fooled. It has a lot more power then the reviews will have you believe. I was playing with a basic racquet before. My spins and undercuts are taken to a whole new level and players comment on this. I can still play a soft game but again it takes a bit to get used to it. On the NVL I just have to put the racquet up. It has the power. The grip feels good. It's a very quality racquet. Plus........it looks cools ... show more

  • It’s a solid paddle for price
Color: Saga Flash 16mm
It’s a good paddle for the intermediate and beginner level player. I found it to be good for control but overall the sweet spot was lacking, not aa forgivable on mishits and the power was average. I have been using a 14mm Joola v3 paddle and so trying this out was very different feel. For the cost it is a solid paddle, but I won’t be using it everyday use. ... show more

  • Extremely happy with my purchase!
Color: Saga V7 16mm
It was time to upgrade from my somewhat beginner/intermediate paddle. I was currently using a Franklin paddle and had used it for about 2 years playing a few times a month. Recently I have started playing a couple times a week and the Franklin paddle was beginning to have a dead spot. Vatic Pro was recommended to me by some folks that run a pickleball facility. I went with the Saga V7 16mm after researching many other paddles online. Vatic's web site claimed that the V7 had great control and the power was decent as well. Now playing with it for a few weeks I vouch that it is a fantastic paddle. I can definitely tell I have much better control and I have not sacrificed any power. I have been recommending it to others that I play pickleball with. I have let a few people try my Saga V7 out and they tell me that it will be their next paddle purchase. ... show more

  • Good Paddle, not sure about the price
Color: Saga Flash 16mm
This paddle is great! I'm not sure if it's worth the money, if i didn't have a gift card I would have probably looked for the same thing but cheaper from another company.

  • Great paddle for the price
Color: Saga Flash 16mm
Strong paddle with good feel when striking the ball

  • Solid choice
Color: Saga Flash 16mm
Love the paddle. Good balance between power and control. I would like a bit more power but it’s a solid choice. As far for spin it’s not that great but you get some out of it. And final point about grip, it’s amazing not sure what’s the tape made of but it stays in your hand . Overall good quality paddle for the price Update after 4 months of use. Paddle got noticeably softer, that affected my game, I’ve added weights to offset that, also I can see on the surface foam cells, that means the surface got wormed out, weird did not expected that. Overall while new I did like the paddle but doesn’t seem to hold up. Even at approachable price point seems not worth it. That being said I’m disappointed. ... show more
