    • Great piece of equipment but assembly does suck
For a piece of home gym equipment we are impressed with the quality and how smooth the motion of the different portions of the machines are when using them. As others have said there is NO WAY you can put this together yourself. It took my wife and I about 13 hours to assemble. The directions to assemble are ok at best. The worst part though is that they do not separate and label the different bolts and pieces so many times you are left guessing as to which bolt, washer or nut they want you to use. Because of that I had to make two trip to home depot because my wife and I used the wrong bolt or nut and ran out of the longer ones we needed later on in the assembly. Also if you get the leg press it doesn't explain well where the connection point is on the main gym is supposed to be. All and all we are happy with the purchase but just realize the assembly is going to suck and you may be better to pay someone to put it together for you. ... show more

Love this multi-station leg and arm weight machine!!!! Super high quality in my opinion!!! No way I would try and assemble this by myself. It has a lot of pieces. I think that’s why people are down on it. I contacted SoCal Fitness Solutions who were there the next day and had it up going in a few hours. These guys are pros!!!!! It has a very small “footprint” and fit very well with extra room in the one car garage area adjacent to the joining additional 2 car garage area. The car next to it, I can still open both the front and rear doors with plenty of room. I had SoCal Fitness Solutions also add an 8X8’ padded rubber flooring. I think people don’t like or don’t give it a 5 star is because they are trying to assemble it themselves. My opinion, for a small amount of money, let the pros do it!! ... show more

    • I’m somewhat impressed!
Seeing that there are around a couple hundred pieces if you count the hardware and fasteners, and a lot of heavy steel in multiple boxes, I’ll grant that shipping takes time and sometimes there are some minor damages. In my order, one piece of square steel tubing was bent slightly out of spec and unusable. One simple email is all it took to get the replacement piece which arrived after about ten days. Assembly was quite time consuming and required paying close attention to detail. But it became clear during assembly that this equipment is solidly made and designed. Commercial gym-level quality. I ordered the gym with the leg press attachment and a rowing attachment and it took a couple of days to get it all put together and then wait for the part that needed replaced. I’d say total hours for assembly of all three portions was about 12 hours. Assembly of just the main gym without the leg press and rowing station would be around 6-7 hours. The assembly instructions have apparently improved over previous models (I read previous reviews of similar models from Body-Solid) as I had nearly 60 pages to read and follow. But slow and methodical, you’ll nail it like I did. The instructions suggest two people for assembly, but that’s only necessary for a couple of steps that require extra hands or bearing weight while installing hardware. Most of the assembly really is better suited for one person so you can be dialed in on one step at a time and making sure you’re using the correct pieces of hardware. Lots of similar nuts and bolts that can get mixed up easily. I set all the hardware out on paper plates and labeled each one so I knew exactly where each part was. I am reserving the right to come back and edit my review once I’ve got a couple months of use into it, but seeing with my own eyes and hands how solid it’s built, I am not expecting any problems. ... show more
