In a world dominated more and more by disposable products, fast fashion, ai or no customer service, and end user frustration with having to increasingly lower our hopes and expectations, there is the VAL CUCINA family. Val Cucina stands among us yet apart as a shining beacon of quality and superior customer service like a superhero on a hillside keeping a watch out for the little guy and doing the right thing for a greater good beyond their immediate profit; a move that's otherwise been lost to a bygone era and corporate greed. I splurged on this gorgeous hot pink statement piece even tho I didn't have a pot to...cook in at the time. It was a treat to myself after surviving some stuff and staking my claim and value within this world, and being on my own for the first time in my life at the age of 60. I intend to have and use it for life. This hot pink fabulous gal serves as my only means for baking, toasting, etc. as my tiny apt doesn't have a stove/oven. It HAS to work everytime because, like for myself, there's no back up plan. And it does work beautifully, consistently, and reliably. It cooks and heats evenly, which matters as much when baking a small cake or cookies, as it does for making homemade pizza or toast. And she looks spectacular doing it. (Her name is Valerie, Val for short, btw) Imagine my anquish at suddenly discovering a tiny paint bubble behind Val's handle. Now imagine thinking of the inevitable fate of this bubble added to the already slight discoloration of some of the pink from steam randomly oozing out at the top of the door. You can't. Because this oven represents something larger than an appliance I use to nourish my body. I took a chance to let VAL CUCINA know what was going on even though about a year had passed. Omar was on the other end of that commuication and I knew right away I was in good hands. From the get-go Omar was on top of it and did something so rare, so important: He authentically bridged the ever-widening gap usually found between a company and end user. He replied to me very quickly, and with understanding and a human touch, not scripts, push back, or excuses. He offered realistic, practical, and fair solutions, and ultimately had a new unit sent to me. It arrived yesterday and I was, and am, in my glory and so grateful. (In inspecting the new one, I noticed the seal on the door of my original unit was slightly different so this may have been the culprit. It happens. But Omar and VAL CUCINA were willing to do something about it.) Omar and my positive experience with VAL CUCINA is part of Val's personal lore now and adds even greater meaning for me. This VAL CUCINA Retro Style Infrared Heating Air Fryer Toaster Oven was purchased to replace a DeLonghi toaster oven. We use our toaster oven a lot compared to other people - we brown sausages & hot dogs, re-heat left-over pizza, etc., so our unit gets a good workout during the week. We were not able to find a comparable DeLonghi oven to suit our needs, so decided to try this Val Cucina unit, a brand we were unfamiliar with. The Val Cucina Toaster Oven is also an air fryer. To be honest, we had an air fryer in the past, didn't like it, and after half dozen uses, we donated it in nearly new condition to Goodwill. That had been our experience with air frying until the Val Cucina. The Val Cucina unit does an excellent job in air frying french fries & tater tots, fried chicken & such, as well as re-heating left-overs the next day that you want crispy, not soggy. The unit comes with three "racks": a typical wire rack, a broiler type pan rack, and a wire-mesh air fryer basket. All three slide in and out easily and are easy to clean by hand or in a dishwasher. The unit has a variety of cook settings: Air Fry, Toast, Bake, Broil, Roast, Pizza, Reheat, Warm, Slow Cook and Dehygrate. There are two good size knobs on the right - Select & Function. The Function knob selects the cook settings. The Select knob is used to set temperature & time. The four buttons control Temp/Time (and C/F); Start/Pause/Off; Light On/Off; and Convection On/Off. The LED display is large & very easy to read. When you open the door, the cooking pauses, and automatically restarts upon closing the door - a very nice feature! We've had the unit now for a few weeks, and use it daily; thus far, it works just fine. The quality of materials seems to be very good. The cream finish on our unit is beautiful and works well with our kitchen. The unit is packaged very well by the manufacturer for the rigors of shipping, and arrived safe and sound. The printed manual that comes with it is written in English and very good in explaining all of the features of the unit. Overall, we are extremely happy with the Val Cucina oven and recommend it highly!

I recently upgraded my kitchen with the VAL CUCINA Infrared Heating Air Fryer Toaster Oven. Usually, I don’t leave a review for the product but this time, I would like to share my impression and the experience I had so far. Amazon has a bundled option which is coming with the cutting board. While I reviewed the details of the cutting board, I decided to purchase it for both the oven and the cutting board. First of all, the cutting board is not only for its primary function. On top of it, its heat resistant material should protect the cabinets from the damage. I have put it on top of the oven for that reason. Also, the material itself looks non-slippery and heat resistant that prevent from scratching and sliding during food preparation. If I buy this cutting board separately, it’s another $40.00. Absolutely great deal! For the oven, my first impression was that it looks stylish and sleek modern yet also looks very durable. Its stainless-steel finish makes the product looks very sleek & modern and easy to clean. Also, it fits perfectly on my countertop without taking up too much space, yet it’s spacious enough inside to handle the size for my family. The product title at Amazon already mentioned that 10-in-1 countertop oven. It has multiple cooking functions – clearly more than bake/toast/broil.. it has a specific toast and options for how many slices. It was quite impressive! As it’s a convection oven with infrared technology, it enables the even cooking. That is very nice! My previous countertop oven had a analog controller, whereas this product has all digital controller and two dials (one is for selection and the other is for the functional choices). I initially thought that I need some time to get used to. Actually it doesn’t require it, as its navigation and user experience looks quite simple and intuitive. Control panel has a clear options displayed and has some beeping to remind where I am at. Both visual and audio experience guide me use the oven without any issue. Also, I like the pre-set cooking modes that make it easy to whip up meals without guessing about time and temperature settings. It’s easy to use. As of now, I used it for ‘air fry’, ‘bake’, ‘broil’ and ‘toast’. It works really well as I expected. Very fast and even cooking. Very crispy and even when I used the ‘toast’ function. It has the options to choose for ‘light’ vs. ‘dark’… and how many ‘slices’ of toast. So good! I am going to do the slow cook this weekend that I am going to make beef stew for two people. Looking forward to it!

I love this toaster oven’s aesthetic and how it’s spacious enough to cook everything I need. The crumb tray at the bottom catches everything so it’s easy to clean. The 10 different functions work well; I especially love how I can toast so many slices of bread or waffles at once. Pizza crisps up well inside too. There are some issues though. I read that toaster ovens generally run hot. So I bought an oven thermometer and did a test; I set the oven to bake at 300°F. After the oven beeped to signal that it finished preheating, it was actually at around 225° in the oven. After a 2-3 minutes the oven reached the actual temperature. After around 15 minutes of bake time, the thermometer read around 332°F. So make sure to let the oven preheat a bit longer after the signal sounds, and subtract around 30°F from the temp suggested in recipes to set for this oven. This may vary though, because even the same model of appliances have their differences. I suggest buying a cheap oven thermometer from a grocery store to find out the exact temperature difference for your oven. The oven also gets very hot at the back, so make sure not to let the cord touch the oven. I’ve read of toaster ovens that melted their own cords off, which is definitely a fire hazard. Nothing has happened for me, but I took precautions and wrapped the cord taut around the black pegs at the oven’s back to ensure it doesn’t touch. The clearance/space around the appliance needed and the placement of the trays at different functions (these are helpfully labeled on the oven’s glass window) are NOT suggestions. You must heed them if you want good and safe results. For example, I made a mistake and tried to bake bread at the lowest tier (since I wanted to cook multiple things at once) but it ended up burning and smelling awful. The oven labeled on its window that baking should be done on the middle tier. To be fair that was the first time I ever used a toaster oven, but it’s a very good lesson. After some research, troubleshooting, and practice, I learned how to use this oven well in less than a day’s time. It’s a dependable appliance and it works well if you know what you’re doing. I decided it would be best to share what I learned so others can benefit.

This little oven bakes very well! It fits my 9" cake pan easily, muffin tins, etc. Items bake much more quickly than they do in my conventional oven. It gets warm on the outside, but does not heat up the room. It is very easy to operate and so nice to look at, I love the design.

We purchased an Air Fryer years ago which opened the door to how fast and convenient this new technology is. We decided to step up to a larger unit and being health conscious we didn't want Teflon which was one of the reasons we chose the Val Cucina as it's interior is all Stainless Steel. Not only is this larger, it incorporates a variety of cooking methods which expands the cooking possibilities! Unfortunately after months of wonderful cooking experiences, it had a tech issues. We contacted Customer Service and were pleased to receive a call back the same day. Per their suggestion, we did a Factory Reset but that didn't fix it. After a few back and forth conversations trying to resolve the issue, they replaced it with a new one. Any company that truly stands behind their product deserves not just 5 gold starts but 12 if it was available!!! Needless to say, we're more than happy to customers of the Val Cucina product and highly recommend this if you're considering an excellent and extremely versatile countertop cooking system!

**UPDATE 2/10/2025** 4 months after purchase I'm angry, mad, disappointed and baffled. This unit was not cheap. I wouldn't call it expensive either but def not cheap. I didn't buy this for a 1 time use. I'm not a dirty person, I'm really clean and care for the things I spend my money on. The unit I got is trash and I don't recommend spending your money on this or you'll end up in my predicament. I also don't ever come back to do updates on products let alone a criticizing one. Well the day has come and I hope my review reaches others and they take note. After only 4 months of light use this oven/toaster looks like it's been through WW1 and WW2 back to back. It's rusty to the point Idk it's safe to use it. It's not just rusted but there's stains that do not come off no matter how much I scrub. Also this unit doesn't close properly and always leaks steam and smoke around the door and trough the cracks in the back as seen in the pix theres light coming through from the bottom unionat vertical and horizontal surface cross. How is this possible??????? Please see the pix. Can't even understand how this happened? None of my appliances EVER looked like this even after years of abuse. Also how come others have not experienced this? Or are you guys not honest? Is mine a complete failure on quality control and if that's the case is this company therefore to be trusted? I want my money back asap!!!!! 😩 Below is my original review just so you guys can see I was very fair from the beginning and only gave it 4 stars for the reasons I mentioned but it doesn't even deserve 1 star now. It looked sturdy and looked like it would get many many uses out of it. Ugh! **ORIGINAL REVIEW** 10/23/2024 I'm overall super happy with this unit. I've cooked several times already in the 2 weeks I've owned it. I have yet to use it in some of its settings such as pizza, reheat, warm, slow cook or dehydrate but I've used it on all other settings. Pros: - cooks fast and really well - fits perfectly on the countertop with standard kitchen cabinets - is spacious - has all the accessories needed and are extremely useful - uses little energy - cooks multiple foods at the same time - not loud (it's not super quiet either but def less noisy than a standard microwave) Cons: - takes a forever for toasting bread so be patient - mine releases condensation at the front upper corners of the door - vanity colors are not cost justified - steep cost for the quality (see above why) Overall: I'm keeping it despite the issues because it does what it claims and reduced my cooking time in half. I still recommend this unit but wouldn't recommend to pay so much more just for a limited edition color. Looks sturdy, looks durable, it's going to cook a lot of yummy dishes so we will get our money's worth for sure.

I love the light inside! You can actually see if your food is getting golden. I was able to get rid of both my air fryer and toaster oven. Even though this is slightly larger than the air fryer I still saved some space in the kitchen. I like how it looks and the modes work flawlessly. I also really appreciate the lack of nonstick coatings. Would definitely recommend.
