I have to say I love this bag. The reason for the 4 stars was because it’s really hard to seal and the little tool they gave put a hole into the bag so I used duct tape to fix the hole. My Dyson house vacuum wasn’t strong enough and wouldn’t develop a seal on the bag valve, but I used our Dewalt shop vac and it worked like a charm. I needed to move a full size memory foam mattress that was about 16” deep and before I put it into this bag, I couldn’t close the truck covering but I was able to vacuum the mattress in this bag and it took about 6” off the mattress. I didn’t want to do too much since the bed was going to be slept on that night and wouldn’t have a ton of time to recoup from full compression. We moved this bed 1.5 hours away and by the time we got to the new place, it had allowed the air back in. But that didn’t matter at that point. The first two photos attached are of this bed in the bag. Then I had a foam twin xl mattress and a memory foam topper in a storage unit so I gave it another try. It took it from again, about 16” to less than 4”. In the photo you’ll see my hand, my hand spread from finger to finger is 8”. I don’t have high hopes the bag will keep the air out because I found another hole but it came with 4 straps so I don’t think it’ll be a problem. I also had another storage bag that I rolled this into just to be safe. I would recommend this bag. I found if you have a smaller mattress (this was the king/cal king size), put the mattress up closer to the valve otherwise it didn’t suck out the air of the mattress but seated the plastic together.

This shrink wrap bag was unbelievable! I didn’t have a lot of confidence that it was going to work, but it did! We have a king size mattress topper that is several inches thick, which makes it so very impossible to store because it doesn’t fold up. We put it in the bag and I zip locked it alone. That, the zip locking, was a bit challenging, but I did it! The key is to close each line individually. You can easily tell if it’s clasping by the color change. The line darkens in color (white to black) if it’s secured. I easily unscrewed the little blue cap, put my vacuum hose flat over the hole, turned on the vacuum, and 3 to 4 minutes later it was flat! I still couldn’t actually believed that it worked! As it was flattening, my husband rolled along the mattress to help push out the extra air. FYI- we have a not so fancy Shark vacuum. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the big honking thing before we put it in the air lock bag. I jokingly told my husband we had to take it back out of the bag so we could get a picture of that thing!! I did grab a stock photo of the pad to show how thick it is. It is so big and cumbersome. On a side note- I wouldn’t recommend the Reitti 3” Memory Foam Mattress Topper unless you plan to leave it on your bed or have one of these mattress bags for storage. It is IMPOSSIBLE to store it without this vacuum air mattress bag!! We just bought a new bed, so we don’t have a need for the mattress topper now. This bag is a must have if you have a mattress you want to store. Amazing product!

Value Rating: 4/5 stars At $24.99, this is priced about right for what it offers. The material is thick and durable, and the included elastic straps are a huge plus. If the vacuum seal worked perfectly, it would easily be a 5-star value. But since the vacuum performance can be inconsistent, it’s best viewed as a protective storage bag first, and a compression tool second. Specifications: • Size: Fits King/California King • Material: PE + nylon blend • Closure: Double-sealed zipper with clip • Includes: 4 adjustable elastic straps • Purpose: Mattress storage, moving, compression • Special Features: Leakproof, puncture-resistant, reusable Key Points: I’ll be honest—I don’t have a great track record with vacuum storage bags, so I went into this expecting at least a functional mattress cover. And it totally delivers on that front. The material is thick but not stiff or crinkly, and it’s large enough to hold a king-size mattress topper with room to spare. The included zip clip made it incredibly easy to seal without needing a second person, which I really appreciated. Now for the vacuum part: I tried. My Dyson got hot. My cat stepped on it (because of course he did). And no matter how I adjusted things, I couldn’t get more than a minor vacuum seal before the process stalled. That could be user error or a tiny puncture, but either way, I wouldn’t count on this if you need ultra-tight compression. That said, it still keeps everything neat, clean, and rolled up securely. The included elastic straps are actually fantastic—they tighten easily and keep everything cinched even without a full vacuum seal. So even though it didn’t perform like a miracle shrink-wrap machine, it still gave me what I needed: tidy storage, decent compression, and an easy-to-manage cover for my bulky topper. Final Thoughts: If you’re a vacuum-bag optimist, this might be worth a shot. But even if it doesn’t seal perfectly, it still works great as a clean, structured way to store large bedding. The straps and easy zip system alone make it more functional than most. Just maybe don’t test it on a mattress and your vacuum’s will to live.

I'm slightly disappointed in this mattress bag. The size and quality are good, but the vacuum sealing valve makes it nearly impossible to remove air from the bag. The valve needs a spacer so the plastic and/or contents won't get immediately sucked in thus blocking air removal. I'm storing a 4"-thick king sized mattress topper, which went in really easily without assistance. Same for sealing the bag. Now I just have to figure out how to get all the air out through the valve.
