I poured water on it to test it and it did pass the test! We recently got a very scared cat that has had a couple of accidents out of fear and we want to keep our mattress safe. No animals or people are allowed on our bare mattress when changing sheets so I will treat this protector as the bare mattress and no one will be allowed on it. That being said, we have a small dog and 3 cats now so I hope it holds up to claws even through the sheets and bedding. I'm not sure I'll wash this as often as my sheets since I don't want that rubber backing to wear out. If my animals manage to tear it up I'll update but so far I love the feal of it and the fact that it's not loud and crinkley

This cover is absolutely worth every penny and then some. I have tried plastic bed covers and they tear. I use it for adult bed accidents and its absolutely absorbed everything while keeping the mattress free of any liquid. Its soft to lay on and I would recommend tis product to anyone who has a child that still wets the bed as well.

This mattress cover is super comfy, fits perfectly, and adds a nice layer of protection. I really loved it overall. The reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because when I tried to remove a small stain using bleach, it ate a hole right through the fabric. Totally on me for not checking the care instructions first, but just a heads-up — definitely do not use bleach on this! Otherwise, it’s a great buy. Just ordered a replacement for my mistake!

I bought this mattress protector because one of my foster kittens had a little accident when playing on my bed and I certainly didn’t want to have to clean my mattress again 😑 I really like the feel of this mattress protector! It’s not very thick, but the quilted padding is perfect for my liking. Seems well made, too. The only thing I don’t love is that seems a big too big for my queen mattress so it’s a bit loose fitted, but tucking it deeply under the bed keeps it mainly in place.
