This vacuum has super good suction power and gets all the excess wood pulp off the carpeting and wood floors from our wood stove. Some of the wood chips are sorta large but the vacuum hose is a large diameter and works really well. The reason for not giving 5 stars is because the vacuum housing is black plastic and all the tiny wood chips want to cling to it making it look dirty. There are so many to choose from and this one was not very expensive, so I was not expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised. This vacuum has great suction and is light weight. Exactly what I wanted to replace my old shop vac. The only thing that I would like a little different is that the crevice tool is slightly wider than my old one. That's OK since I saved my old one.     • It feels like a starter shop vac

If you are trying to use this in a hurry this was not designed for you, we use these for dryer vent cleaning, and we found out that this is not good for us. The reason why, the cord is short, and it's not very slidable on the hands in order to move the cord fast to wrap it up, also the wheels do not have a brake on them and so if you are on the inclined driveway you will watch this thing roll all the way to the curb, also the yellow hubcap covers fall off pretty easy when they get banged up or when there's heavy vibrations. We love this brand we actually have two other vacuums that we use and thought this would be a better fit but we've had to learn to adapt to it We need our stuff set up for speed not for a slow and pokey and rolling down the street. But if you're an average homeowner and you don't do quick actions with your body the reason why I say that is because the hose does not turn freely as good as it should it becomes complicated and it basically just want to not even use it. ... show more
