This is an EXCELLENT vacuum! I think its the best vacuum at this price point, and even much higher. It arrived well packaged and was a snap to put together. Its like this machine was designed by someone who has actually used a vacuum before. It has a VERY long cord, so you arent constantly pulling the plug out of the wall and having to re-plug it in elsewhere. YAY! The filtration system is excellent, and the bags even have a rubber gasket seal so no dust can escape. That's right, it is NOT a bagless machine, and I'm thrilled about that. I HATE emptying those bagless models (so gross!). This vac has a feature that lets you release the full bag right into the trash without ever touching it (sa-WEET!) It has an indicator light that tells you when the bag is full, so you don't have to open it to check if it's time for a new bag. The bags are not made of delicate paper, they feel more like a non-woven fabric that prevents dust from escaping. Marvelous! It has a switch that turns off the rotating brush bar when cleaning hard floors or using the accessories. Actually, it has a nifty single accessory that EASILY converts from a crevice tool to a brush or an upholstery tool, so you don't have to keep swapping out one tool for another or worry about a tool getting lost. It stores right on the unit, snugly, and doesn't fall off constantly as you vacuum. It's very easy to switch to attachment mode (or above floor cleaning) by releasing the vacuum hose and clicking it in place on the wand. The wand releases easily and you're in business. It's just as easy to return to floor cleaning too. It has a very bright light, which you don't always see on a vacuum at this price. The suction power this vacuum has is fabulous! I haven't had it long to tell if it stays fabulous, but I think it will, because the machine has an indicator that tells you if you're not getting good air flow, so you know if you need to clean the filters or check for clogs or clear obstructions. It also has a little slide you can open to reduce the suction a bit if you need to, like when you're cleaning a smaller rug. The machine steers almost too easily, and it takes some getting used to as it will change direction with a slight turn of your wrist, like a ball type of vacuum, much easier than my old upright unit. The noise level is about the same any vacuum, not louder, not quieter, as far as I can tell. It does have a surprisingly narrow cleaning path, BUT, it cleans so well and steers so easily that it doesn't seem to matter! It fits between things much better I must say, and it goes pretty low, too, for getting underneath furniture. It's a breeze to use, even with the narrow cleaning path. If you have miles and miles of carpet in your home, it might be a factor, but I find that the machine is so physically easy to use and performs so well, and adapts so easily to my different needs that I don't really notice that. I'm finished vacuuming in a flash. I'm really pleased with this machine. Now only time will tell if it lasts me as long as a vacuum should, but I have high hopes. It seems VERY sturdy, and so well engineered. All the latches and connections are sturdy and sound, and the plastic feels strong and of good quality, not flimsy and cheap. It's a pretty dark teal color that I really like, too. Even the little things count, right? A great purchase so far!

Love it!!! My last vacuum from Amazon was an Oreck. It was hideous. It was loud, you couldn't roll it unless it was powered on, you had to drag its full dead weight back into it's storage place, the automatic leveler never worked, only one side vacuumed next to the wall the other side left an inch of dirt and dog hair along the side. That was the Oreck. Before that was the Cordless Hoover that worked great till one month after enjoying it, it caught on fire, Amazon doesn't sell these anymore. This Vacmaster feels quality before you even open the box. It's very sturdy box and excellent packaging which says to me that this company actually made their product with care, not some slopped together piece of junk. It snaps together just like the instructions say it will, it's simple and does what a vacuum should do Lots of power, both the l and ll suction level work fantastic, there's a light bar and it really works (that's always a nice feature), it's quiet, nice cord length, no ridiculous attachments flapping around, it's lightweight but there's actually some metal to it and it's a solid little machine. It has a LOT of suction so it's a bit of a workout but the dirt and dog hair are gone and cleaning day actually feel like you got something accomplished. I'm 5'7" and the handle is the perfect height for me....oh and it rolls very nicely under furniture and kitchen counters. All that said, vacuums are not made to last anymore but maybe this one will make it a full year.

I ordered the Vacmaster UC0501 Bagless Upright Vacuum. When I opened the box, I was confused. It looked like a child's toy, and weighed next to nothing. Then I was embarrassed because I purchased this for my daughter as a surprise. I wanted to return it immediately, but my daughter told me it was fine; before actually vacuuming. The first time we used this it was perfect, despite the short cord. I was already aware that it was short, but the length of cord was a joke, and no one was laughing. The second time we used it, it was louder than before. I was worried. Then I tried to use it on the carpet to the linoleum kitchen floor. This thing was spewing dirt around and Not sucking anything up. And wouldn't you know it? It died on me. I tried plugging it into 3 other outlets, nothing. So, I sat down to take a look at it. Flipped the piece of crap over to see 2 spots where it was clogged. Once I cleared these, and mind you it was the typical dust and fluff you would normally vacuum up with any vacuum (a dust buster would have done better), I plugged it back in, and Hooray! it was working again. Until.........it clogged up again. At this point I said screw it and gave up. Gave it the finger and put it away. Unfortunately, I missed the return window, and I am now stuck with this completely worthless and incompetent, what was the point of making this piece of (expletive) vacuum? All these reviews of, "Ooh" and "Awe", this thing has transcended the world; are either extremely lucky, or just trying to make their buck$$. ** Due to the community guidelines, this review is not the original and had to be rewritten for those that need theiir hands held.

I did a lot of research before buying this vacuum, it’s basically a budget version of the Kenmore intuition. Same internals, suction power, etc. I was a little skeptical as I am a die hard Shark owner and vacuum enthusiast, boy was I wrong. I have three Sharks, anti-wrap brushroll, LED headlight, both high end models, and they severely underperform compared to this. I actually find myself going downstairs and bringing this vac up instead of using my other one that I used to consider my “good one”. The suction power is unmatched, if I sweep too close to the couch blankets it will suck them in like they weigh nothing! I have a chinchilla and cats, it doesn’t spit the litter out and chews up the chinchilla hay and bedding without the hose getting clogged - something my shark has never been able to do. Overall I would rate this a 10/10, my only complaint is that the cord could be longer and a lift away feature would be nice, both are options you can get on it’s more expensive sister brand Kenmore, but for $100 you literally can not beat it. Buy this vacuum, you will not regret it. My floors truly feel and look cleaner than ever.

I love this vacuum. It has HEPA filtration which is what I needed. Easy to change the bag, easy to handle, easy to go from carpet to bare floor, easy to use the handle as a wand for hard to reach surfaces, and it has a light! It does everything! It also seems sturdy. Love it! Update: after 11 months of use I can't say enough about this vac! I use this as my primary. I have a Miele canister (which is the best of the best & very pricey) but this vacmaster is so much easier to use & has great suction power. The bags last several months even with a cat! There is no dusty odor escaping! The only thing that isn't perfect is the hand tools. They tend to fall off easy because they store on the side & I'm always bumping them into something. They are small but they are very handy & I use them a lot. This is a gem of a vacuum at a very affordable price.

Giving this product a 3 stars for now. I purchased and received this vacuum less than two weeks ago. I was super excited to use it due to the reviews. It is ABSOLUTELY amazing. The suction is absolutely amazing. It does NOT stick to the carpet like other reviews state. BUT, it consistently sucks dirt and dust up out of my carpet every single day which is exactly what I was looking for. It was super simple to assemble and it's size is perfect. The HUGE downfall and reason for the poor 3 star rating is that, this morning as I am mid vacuum it just shut off. COMPLETELY SHUT OFF AND WILL NOT TURN BACK ON! The belt and everything else is ok and intact. Considering I have only used this vacuum four times, today being the fifth, and NOTHING that could damage or harm the vacuum has ever been picked up(no large or sharp object, no water, and never run over damp spaces), theres no reason the motor should be the cause. EXTREMELY UPSET is a total understatement, right now. I am now out a vacuum, and do not have the means or ability to just go buy another.

Basically this is an Oreck clone, at a much better price. Unlike most Oreck clones, it's a copy of modern high power Orecks, not the old fashioned Classic Orecks that just pickup surface dirt. Our house has a good variety of flooring, flat commercial carpet in the hall, low pile in one bedroom, soft plush in another bedroom, medium pile in the last bedroom, medium-high in the living room, and loose laid sheet vinyl in the kitchen. The living room and soft plush in one bedroom can be problem carpets for some vacuums, stalling brushrolls and/or making a vacuum nearly impossible to push. The Vacmaster did well in every room, I used high speed on every carpet and it never stalled, wasn't difficult to push, and the reverse chevron brushroll did a surprisingly good job digging out pet hair and dirt, and fluffing/grooming the carpets. The edge cleaning was adequate, but not amazing, I've seen better and I've seen worse. Low speed did well on the sheet vinyl. The squeegee kept anything from kicking back at my feet, and the pickup was good without the suction being high enough to "grab" the vinyl, which has been a problem in the past. It's no Kirby, but it's no old fashioned Classic Oreck either. Classic Orecks absolutely lock to our problem carpets, the Vacmaster practically glided over them. The grooming and pickup is impressive, especially for something so cheap and so lightweight. It's not all roses, the plastics used are obviously on the cheaper side, the cord is cheap and stiff, and the headlight could be brighter, but for the price, those things aren't really surprising. End of the day, it's a lightweight, well performing, basic bagged upright, with no hose or attachments, at a bargain price. That's a rarity these days. Add a Dustbuster or cheap canister vacuum for furniture and above floor cleaning, and you are set for years of easy quick easy cleaning.
