    • Pretty simple but stubborn cats are gonna find a way

It was easy to install. Looks sleek and the lock doesn't jam like other styles do. However my Maine coon absolutely has ran into it at full speed at just busted the entire door off at 3am in the morning and made me about pee myself in sheer terror. Also my tiny dog has watched the big cat do this and figured out if he gives himself a mild concussion he can access the cats room and indulge himself in the delights of the litterboxes. My 70 lbs rottie mix doesn't bother it at all, he just breathes on it. But the 13lbs cat and the 11lbs dog are banging on it until the door unhinged itself and launches itself across the room. Why? To make me miserable. No other reason. The door flap pops right back into place but if you have a crazy determined animal, maybe spend a couple extra bucks to get something extra secure. If you have lazy animals who don't hate you, then this will be great! Unfortunately my animals hate me so... yeah. Still, looks great! Just gotta keep a vacuum cleaner in front of the cats room though.... ... show more

It could have been better sealed for airflow. A strip of the fabric side of stick-on Velcro across the top plugged the biggest air gap. Still a pretty good door at the price.

Bought this to mount to a sheet of plexiglass for my cats to use to access their catio during the colder and hotter months of the year when we don't want the window open. The installation instructions were easy enough to follow and i was able to easily trim the edge with a pair of kitchen sheers. I don't really use the lock feature but I will say be careful that it's in the proper position, my cat knocked it over to locked while going in and out and ended up getting locked out, hasn't been an issue though since I've made sure it's always properly in the unlock position. My cat was super hesitant to use it at first because of the magnet so to start I popped the door off all together so the cat could go in and out without it. Then I popped it back into place backwards so the magnet wouldn't work and then after a bit I put it back the way it was supposed to be after my cat built up enough confidence going in and out that the magnet was no longer an issue. There is no weatherstripping on the top of the flap and sides still have gap. Might be worth the extra $10 for the PetSafe brand because this one will result in more heat or cool loss depending on season. Also if you have a thinner opening you have to figure out how to cut the plastic around the frame, which is not easy. PetSafe brand is much easier to adjust thickness. For the price it’s ok, but next time I’ll pay more for a better product and less energy loss. ... show more

Paid $12 for an excellent unit. Unit had a notched out portion 1/4" wide for some reason but no problem, used a little silicon over it.

I have 2 older cats who love it. Only took an hour for them to start using it. I think the clear door was a big help with that. I was able to show them treats and they found the way to get them. Only problem with install was that my door is a six panel and the medium size cat door frame was a bit bigger than the panels. It fits securely on the front frame but will need some caulk for aesthetics. ... show more
