Ok so my husband and I weren't cat people and swore would never own a cat lol our kids change that they wanted a cat so bad so we have this sweet girl which was an addition to two full grown German shepherds 95 and 110 lbs. When we added the cat the kitty litter was a daily chore... It had to be clean daily, she trailed kitty litter everywhere and of course our dogs ate her poop ( we did not know that was a thing) any ways so I wanted to make owning a cat less demanding and better for our busy life.... So I bought this kitty litter and YESSSS!!! it has simplify the kitty litter duty. 1. It does not smell as the other ones do because it's enclosed and the fan aids with deodorizing it. 2. The mat ACTUALLY captures trailing kitty litter keeping 95% of it in the mat and not my floor!! The lip step inside also helps most kitty litter to drop from her paws before stepping out. 3. Cleaning it is so easy just take the drawer our swift out the chunks and done! 4. My dogs can't get to it so no more kitty litter snacks lol. The only con to it was the flap door our cat was not a fan but I fixed it by velcroing it the roof using a 3M comand velcro strip.

Pros: The appearance of the litter box is nice to have inside a small apartment. It doesn’t take up too much space and looks inconspicuous Cons: You have to supplement the box with deodorizer anyway defeating the purpose of this highly priced litter box. Scooping is annoying to keep sliding the tray out, and it’s common for there to be residue on the sides of the box that smear towards the back. This purchase as a long time cat owner I regret. It’s overpriced, and I think I could have done better with just a stainless steel box for cheaper. EDIT: I've come back to this to add that more than a few occasions the box leaked urine from beneath causing horrible smells and stains. Incredibly difficult to clean, and you will have to get your hands more than dirty. I wish I would have not bought this. I now use just a $10 jumbo litter box from the grocery store with deodorizer and it works much better than this.

I just received the litter box in the mail today, so I've yet to turely experience how well it functions day to day. I will come back to edit my review. However, so far, I am extremely satisfied. Everything arrived in perfect condition, and it was very easy to assemble. There were no parts missing and overall I honestly just love the look and design of the box. We'll see how well it preforms! UPDATE: my cats are a bit afraid of the litter box haha. But that has to do with their personalities and not the litter box's functionality. The few times they have used it has gone well. Like I expected, having a pull out drawer to scoop litter from makes my life so much easier. I especially like the catch at the front of the drawer that collects a lot of the excess litter the cats kick around. And the mat that came with the box to keep litter from getting all over the floor is also very useful! I've had no problems with odor either. The fan works very well. My laundry room no longer smells whenever my cats do their business. Now if only I could get them to be less afraid of it... it's a good litter box! 👍

I decided to try this for my cats. It was super easy to put together. Came with everything shown. Cats took to it right away. Only thing I don’t like is that the Velcro on the walls that attaches the rubber type urine shield that goes inside is not lined up. The side wall Velcro is lower than the back wall. If you don’t keep the shield lifted up when pushing in the litter tray it won’t go in all the way. Easy fix to just pull it out from behind the tray but still a little frustrating. Tray fits 1 8# bag of litter perfect. Fan is not loud. Not sure what the best fan setting should be because it doesn’t really explain much on it. It just gives the levels of 1-3. I will try to post a later update when it’s been used more.

Okay, so I finally got to setting this up for my cats and I wish I did it sooner becuase I would have returned it. I get it. It's a much less expensive option for cat owners who really wish they could afford a fancy self cleaning one. Honestly, my cats didn't seem to mind the sound on low, but they were very weary of it on high and also did not care for the door. I set them in there for the first time and saw them use it, but woke up in the morning to poop on the floor in the same room as the box. I didn't offer them a second box that night becuase I wanted to kind of force them to use it. I took the door off and they tolerated it UNTIL... ... a few mornings later, I walked into the room and it was SPARKING in the top fan area!! I could hear AND see the sparks inside the fan. I immediately unplugged it and have not used it since. I jumped on here today to see if I could return/request a refund. It was cheaper than the fancy ones, yes, but such a waste of a good amount of money. I literally only got like three days of use before it almost set my house on fire. Proceed with caution!! I'll leave you with one thought, just get a fancy, self cleaning one. It will save time and sanity in the end.
